Hello my little friends, I have been a bad blog-lo-dyte and neglected my duties in the blogosphere for more time than I care to admit. I have had so many events going on, and so much to say and there was just not enough time to sit down and catalogue it. It seems that the Pisces Lunar Eclipse at the end of the last week was an excuse for me to lack any sort of rhyme or reason and I pushed the limits of sleep, work, play, friends, family, and fun for an entire week...WHEW!!!
Let's begin last week when Babboo came home from his first night flying solo at his new gig baking at the Donut Hole (not to be confused with the Taco Hole of Blogs gone by...) After 16 hours and a brutal night with barely enough time to rest before he had to go back again he was one tired puppy. It is a job that a guy had been doing for 13 years and he had it down so that he could do all of it in about 8 hours alone. After watching Babboo collapse into bed, I knew he needed a helper, and I went and helped him for the next 4 nights (12-14 hours a night for him PLUS 8-9 hours a night for me) and I can tell you that the prior baker must have a team of elves. His boss hired an additional person to do the frying for him, and it is working better, but is still probably not legal by union standards...we'll see how long it lasts.
Friday was the full moon and eclipse, and the beginning of the annual Eugene Celebration which is a huge downtown block party with all kinds of music and entertainment, art and revelry. I went Friday afternoon and saw the local band 11 Eyes who ROCKED. They were on early, while it was still light out and the crowd was kind of small, but in the middle of their set there came a point which I can only describe as an ECSTATIC moment as music, light, dance and happiness crescendoed and we were a whole pile of laughing, dancing, hugging, blissful people, high on the power of trumpet, sax, guitar and drums. I get goosebumps!!!
Because I worked with Babboo Friday night, I slept through the Eugene Celebration Parade which is known to be one of the wackiest shows on Earth, but I did manage to get downtown that evening for the band Tea Leaf Green from San Francisco. I have to say they were really good, but after what had happened at 11 Eyes, mildly anti-climactic (guess I peaked early). It was enjoyable, and I would definately see them again.
Sunday afternoon Leetle Dog and his super friends, Ruby, Trinity, and Parilla and their humans, Babboo, Me, Nichole (standing in for Fleesh) and Julie donned shiny capes and marched in the Pet Parade. At one point Babboo heard someone call us the Disco Crusaders because all of the capes were iridescent, (mine and Tyrones being silver and textured like a Disco Ball)-I will post pix asap-it was fun!
Then on Sunday night I went to start classes in a new form of Reiki that I am learning from a woman from Russia. There are more channels than the Usui form of Reiki that I practice right now, and I am really excited about it. I am being prepared for a channel that works on karmic issues, and am having some secondary chakras opened up. I went on Monday for a first level re-attunement and will go tomorrow to finish it. This attunement opens up and adjusts the chakras from the Crown to the Heart and I can tell you right now that my sensitivity to energy has been upped several notches already (not sure 11 Eyes didn't have a part in it!)
Amidst the madness my car ceased to function properly and I have been without it since Saturday. I am thankful that I live in a town that is incredibly easy to navigate without one, and it makes me realize that it really isn't such a hardship to get around other ways...easy to say when it is not raining yet...
I don't know how it has been for you, but my dreams have been terrific. I am having entire other lives in my sleep. Pisces is the dreamiest moon, and even though it was last Friday, the fact that it was a full moon and an eclipse makes it more powerful than usual. The funny part is that I do not know very many people who actually slept very well at the end of last week. It seems to have been a time of frenetic activity for the masses, but it also seems to have been very productive and enlightening.
Well, kids, that is enough about me for the time being. I have gone past the usual limit I put on the length of my blogs, without getting into any of the planetary prognostication that you know and love me for, however I will leave you with this:
Mercury is moving into conjunction with Mars, and communication by Friday could become a little aggressive and as the moon moves toward Cancer somewhat emotional. This is all about cooperation and getting along. If there are areas in your life you need to speak up for, by all means-try to be gentle. We are also operating under the effects of a grand mutable cross as the sun and the moon's nodes square a Gemini Moon and a Sagittarian Pluto. This placement of Pluto encourages us to let go of outdated beliefs that are not serving our higher good, and learning a new way of looking at things. Saturday we may be sentimental, and by Sunday, the Moon in Leo has us riding high once again. Try not to take things to the extreme, and you should be gliding into next week with enthusiasm, ready to get down to some Fall cleaning-of all kinds. You get to decide what should stay and what should go...and on that note-see you in a bit-o-honeys...
