OH,well,hello again my little bloglodites!

I guess "the OCHO" had some sort of a time warp built into it, and all of a sudden I find that it is October 6. 2008...when my last post was in January.  Perhaps Leetle Dawg stepped us all through a time portal and we have been in the Land of the Lost, part II...the Future.

I imagine that you and yours have been keeping busy.  I know that my BFF--has been busy birthing her AMAZING WONDERWHIRL HOOPS.  You can find her on MySpace-just type in WONDERWHIRL, take a look-she has the most amazing hoops on the planet!

Then, there is a new addition to our happy family...His name is Chief and he is a ten month old Malamute, courtesy of Thing I.  He's weighing in at about 90lbs and still growing.  So now we have Beeg Dawg and Leetle Dawg.  We are Grateful-they are always up for adventure.  WHO ISN'T!?!

Mandalafly is still making mandalas regularly, though business is really coming around into the energetic healing area.  I have to tell you that the Peruvian Munay-Ki training has been a valuable addition to my tool kit.  I was able to meet two Shaman from the High Andes about three weeks ago.  I am priveleged to be a part of a circle of healers that practices with them.  The rite that we received from the Shaman was a "new rite" and they told us it was their blessing that made us be seen as Shaman as well!

Seven People and Six Dogs set a course for snowshoe adventure at Salt Creek Falls in the MAJESTIC Willamette National Forest last Sunday.  The showdrifts fresh and five feet high and dogs, much like mountain goats...leap from road to top...when all of a sudden Leetle Dawg jumped up on the railing of the bridge and quickly realized that it was a twenty foot drop into a shallow creek...

WOW.

Three Weeks and several Holidaze into the OCHO, and I am just coming back to consciousness after a wild little ride through the beginning of it.  Nothing serious, in fact QUITE fun.  If my friend Jack is correct, and I am Durga the eight armed one...perhaps this is the year that I get all of the tools that I need to keep them all occupied (...idle hands...come out and PLA---eee-ay!)

I feel as though I am receiving information so fast that I hardly have enough time to make it my own, much less pass it on.  I did, however read something that I really found to be blogworthy...it's from the book EAT, PRAY, LOVE  by Elizabeth Gilbert, which I highly recommend...

    She talks about life being like the circus act where you are balanced between two horses.   One you are in control of, and one you cannot control.  One is named Fate, and one is Free Will.  You never know which horse is which. 

          You know what they say when you are thrown by a horse...

                                   GET BACK ON IT!!!

                Glad my horses are a good team.  How about yours?

     'Tis the eve of the eve and all is...wellllllllll...where do we begin tonight's story?  A good-to-be-continued-entry that promises thrills, spills and chills?  a Mysteray...a Touch of Grey...who's to say?

     For those of you who have been reading along for a while now, are perhaps familiar with the story about how in high school, my friend Kim's dad used to call me "Flashback" because he said that I was "so weird that I must be an acid flashback of my past life."  Tom---you are a true visionary...or perhaps merely watered the seeds that had been planted long ago...look at me now.

     So this morning(afternoon---whatever...) I was cooking "brunch" and listening to the decrepit clock radio that lives on the shelf over the sink, and the show "Flashback" on the classic rock radio station is playing 1976---the bi-centennial year...the year that I met my best friend  and Goddess of the Eternal Lava Lamp-(without whom much of this story might be much different.) Anyway...the host mentioned a few things that happened this week in rock's early ages...one of which was that Jerry Garcia met Bob Weir on the very same day that I made my appearance on this planet...hmmm....it really HAS been long AND strange.

     I have known for a long time about the Grateful Dead and New Year's Eve.  It is nebulous whether they count it as 1964 or 65,but today, perhaps simply hearing it phrased by the dj, "on December 31st, 1964 Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir first played together." I got a little thrill out of it, and wanting to know the facts...I consulted the cosmic conscousness (cleverly disguised as "google") for the story that Jerry was playing in the back of a store on the Hait, and Bobby stepped in to say...let's play!

     I like to imagine I could see them from where I was about to descend from, and said "I gotta get down there!  The Grateful Dead is BORN!"...must've been in a pretty big hurry too.  Didn't have time to turn around and came in "full moon" (I'll show you Cancer Rising...!) to very young parents who couldn't have possibly known what lay ahead for them...or us.  They named me Michelle...the year before the Beatles decided to sing about me (it was all about ME, right?---my dad always made me feel like it was.) 
     Now, again, for the folks who have been with me for a while...while it has been a long, long time to be gone...and a short while to be there, I have been watching the story evolve to the place where I know to begin...My BIRTHDAY...1964.

                     12+31+1964=2007....come and ride your horse.

     Well, Hello my little Bloglo-doodles,

     Welcome to the 500th entry of Mandalablog-which today is a poem about Glogg, deadicated to Mr. and Mrs. Random whose gift keeps on giving:

(ahem) 

   If you feel like the Yule has drained from the Log,and the Spirit of Christmas has gone to the dogs, and your mind is all cluttered and filled up with fog, then perhaps then, my friend,  it's time that you reach for some Glogg. 

    It's not quite a Nog, but a bit of a Nip, they say mix it with water...or some booze if you wish.  It's spicy and sweet and a bit of a zip.  Try some, I tell you, it's SWE-dish-A-liscious!  

   Okay...this can be our little secret.

     Oooookh...You might have heard that we have been buffeted by some pretty major storms here this week, and it is certainly true.  The coast suffered some hurricane force winds, and there is flooding and mudslides and tree debris...oh my.  I must say that our fair city is pretty well protected, and while it has dumped some serious rain on us and it got VERY windy, we are safe and warm and dry in our home.  I do want to say a prayer for the rest of the country who it seems is getting a lot of snow from this Pacific Tantrum.  Be Safe.

     That being said, lets get on to the business of the day which is about Venus, the planet of Love and Beauty, moving into Scorpio, the sign of the Sexual!  If you don't have a mate...this transit is a good time to put on a little somethin' sexy (like a smile) and get out and mingle.  Friday the Sun in Sagittarius will be squaring Uranus...the element of surprise...who knows what this might bring! 

For those of us in a more long term situation...try something....let's just say "new" for a change!  WOO WOO!!!

And you thought there was a gap the last time!
Wow.  I have been out in the ethers learning, teaching and growing everywhichway (but loose) and generally having a grand ol' time being me...and in my typical fashion...not giving a rat's patoot about timing.  (Take it to the LIMIT...and beyond!)

This week we have had some really nice shifts in energy as the sun has moved into Sagittarius---HAPPY-GO-LUCKY!!!  Those carousel horses...yesterday we had a nice little tea party with Jupiter (luck), Neptune (dreams) and Venus (love)...I can tell you that it is important to bring these three to the table now and again to make plans for future progress in the Living and Loving your Dreams department.

As for me,  I was having non-stop dream activity.  I have been doing so much Energy work on myself and others...my body is responding and feeling AMAZING...One of the things that I was working on in a session with one of my Reiki students yesterday was asking the Great Amoeba to help us heal on a cellular level.  Apparently I took it seriously and woke up in the middle of the night feeling as though my entire body had been worked out.  Every cell felt as though it was sore like after a lot of excercise and I thought I might actually take an ibuprofin or something (which I rarely do) but then when I got up to go to the w.c. I realized that it wasn't that bad and also realized that it was probably the healing that I had asked for ACTUALLY TAKING PLACE!!!  I really wanted to sleep a little longer this morning...probably to really finish the process, but once I got up and moving I realized...I feel GREAT TODAY!

I have learned so many things about ordering what I want from the Universe...and EXPECTING to get it (oh---and then I DO get it!)  One of the first big shifts for me came when my Angel Shaman told me that before I go to sleep I tell the Universe that if I give energy out, it comes back...no giving it away to beings who don't return it!  Only EVEN energy exchange...and actually...with the law of threefold...what you give out you should be getting back x 3!!!  SO BRING IT BACK!   

Try it for yourself tonight, and for the next few nights..."I only give energy when I get it in return."  Let me know how it goes!

     Good Morning, Bloghoolios!  I am back again...looking at the gaps in my posts and realizing that I didn't even post on HALLOWEEN---even though you all should know by now that it is one of my personal most Holydaze!  Perhaps that is because I was thrust into a full on TIME WARP!  If you are not familiar, you might be able to get the gyst by checking in on past Halloween posts...time for me to live in the NOW!

     Speaking of TIME WARPING...I did manage to celebrate the day with a group of people practicing our energy healing work at Shambala and then off to a live action production of Rocky Horror Picture Show...complete with VIrgin Sacrifices!  SWEET TRANSSSSSSSSSSSEXUAL TRANSYLVANIANS put on QUITE the show! 

      Enough on that...today I would like to call your attention to the Peruvian Rites of the Munay Ki.  If you have been wondering what Mandalafly has been up to, or even if you haven't, here it is!
