Got a reply to my yesterday BLOG by my best friend and DJ "Johnnie" because Home Sweet Home is by MOTLEY CRUE , NOT AEROSMITH. I have screwed that up since forever because of the song "Last Child" by Aerosmith...which came first, and was imprinted in my teenaged brain as the "Home Sweet Home" song-though I know that I really did mean the Motley Crue one... This little snafu is indicative of pretty much my whole day yesterday, I was CRANKY!!! It was one of those days where every time I tried to do something, there was something that made it take AT LEAST twice as long as it should have. I am feeling some pressure due to the fact that my mom is still here, and I am not getting the amount of business or correspondence done that I NEED to be making happen. I keep telling myself to slow down, all good things in all good time, and that I should just enjoy my mother's visit and not worry about doing business until she leaves (at the new moon-and as Mercury is coming out of retrograde...) and I remind myself that it is all about UNIVERSE time and not what I think is supposed to happen NOW (I WANT AN OOMPA LOOMPA!). It doesn't help though when my bank balance says "more, please" and I have to say...I need a miracle! There are still plenty of little things that I can get done. I am working on my artist's bio for stores that have asked for it, and looking for some other displays for stores that might ask for that (because they have). I really need to be talking to more people than just the few that I have contacted here in Eugene. That is my mission for today, find and call stores that might be interested in different areas-Salem, Corvallis, Portland, and get on it! I need a clone, so one of us can get some artwork done!

Hey Y'all-yesterday was a big energy shift as Venus the planet of love and beauty moved into Cancer-the sign of home of family. This puts our focus on the family front, and we may find ourselves wanting to take care of those little chores that make a house a home. Yesterday the sun was conjunct Mercury which is still retrograde until the 28th. Think about what was going on around the 4th of July, and apply what you learned yesterday, but don't act on it until Mercury turns direct! Getting the chores out of the way will open yourself up for...
This weekend, on the 22nd, the sun moves into Leo, and confidence and activity turns to having fun. Get your ducks in a row now so you can take advantage of the opportunities that arise. Also on the 22nd, Mars moves into Virgo, the sign of Work, Service and Health. The focus is on self respect and respect for others. Things that have felt like they are on hold, should start moving forward quite nicely at the end of this month. That doesn't mean you can coast till then...like I said, take care of the little things now, because big things are on the way!

AHHHH...I spent the Pisces moon afternoon walking along the seashore in Florence with Mama, Babboo, and Leetle Dog Too. I also managed to sell a set of cards to the folks at "Athena's Lotions and Potions" in Old Town Florence, and open the door to an outlet at the "Silver Lining"-a SWEET boutique in a geodescic (sp?) dome on Highway 101. The owner there also mentioned me hanging a show in the gallery upstairs at some point! Guess I'd better get some artwork done!!! Speaking of work, I was having some of those long running dreams early this morning. In the most vivid of these, I was working at TGI Friday's (yes-I have had to don the dreaded "flair" in my sordid past...) and I had two trainees, one male and one female. Babboo and my mom came by with the dog, and we went to Alton Baker Park in a car. The male trainee was with us, and I started getting really edgy about ditching work and the other trainee, and saying that I needed to go back there. We get to the park and Leetle Dog runs after a ball, and comes back tied by the tail ("stubber nubber") to TWO dogs that look a lot like him, but one is all white, and one is all black and both of them are showing teeth and being aggressive. We untangle them, and I started to make friends with the dogs, and calm them down. I got the sense from this dream that I am really feeling guilty for not having a "real job". I am making contacts, and getting out there, and doing what I should. It is difficult, however, to know that I don't exactly know where my next dime is going to come from. I am not very good at that kind of question. I think that is probably true of most people. I know that I have a good product with the cards, and as soon as I get enough out there, I will have a base on which to build ( ...such a CAPRICORN-GEEZ!) Custom Mandalas are really where I live and breathe. I looked at Mrs. Random's BLOG this morning and on Friday she was saying she was feeling like she did not play enough. This was exactly what was going on with me, but I feel like I have been playing, and I feel like I am not supposed to. One of the difficulties with the business at this point is that it is ALWAYS on my brain. I cannot leave it alone. I am always looking for the way to make it easier. I am looking for the way to not have to be the marketer, but the creator. I LOVE to create mandalas, and I LOVE to talk to people about astrology and help them get in touch with their creativity. Maybe it is this that I feel GUILTY about...that I am having so much FUN when I am working!!! Designing and drawing custom mandalas, and researching the information for them IS A BLAST! And when people get them it makes them happy too. This is a win-win! Perhaps I do not need to worry about whether I am working or playing, but I rather figure out how to de-program the 8-track loop in my head that tells me that work is supposed to be hard, and play is somehow supposed to be seperate from it. MAYBE I CAN'T HAVE IT ALL (where would I put it?!) but there is PLENTY for me and ENOUGH left for all of you too!!! Now go outside and get some fresh air!!!

Hey Kids, I revised my site, and so didTripod, so I have some new features that promise to make Mandalablog even more exciting than it already is! I still need to do a little work on a few things. I want to switch up the look of my blogpage a bit, but for now the new color and font features will have to keep me entertained. SO EXCITING!!! I didn't really have a chance to write about our trip to the Country Fair last week. For those of you who are not familiar, the Country Fair has been happening for 35+ years and is truly a Hobbitland Full O' Fairies and Imps. My mama came out from Wisconsin and had prepared a lime green outfit-shirt, shorts, shoes-Turns out it was "Lime Green Friday" at the Fair-it doesn't surprise me that she was in tune with what was up in the "otherrealm". That my friends is a subject for a whole other BLOG. I want to get you caught up with the latest in astro-weather... The weekend promises to be an important shift, with a harmonious rectangle in the sky today involving Venus, Mars, Pluto and Ceres. This aspect is all about fixing old situations that need repair. Hooray, I can think of a few situations I am hoping this is highlighting...The energies today and tomorrow are influenced by the Piscean new moon as well as north node, so it could be emotional and highlight hidden dreams and visions. Take another look at the ideas that you have had on the back burner...one or two of them may be ready to serve! Sunday will be a day full of physical energy with the Aries moon...take yourself for a nice hike somewhere. Get the lead out! Monday there is so much going on in the heavens!!! A grand fire trine-meaning unstoppable and exciting action, a grand mutable square-which may make us nervous about the action, but that will help keep us from jumping in without looking, and 4-count 'em-FOUR Fingers of God-(Fickle Fingers of Fate!) I am visualizing this as the palm laying out-offering us new choices and new opportunities to help us move forward on our path. Walk your path with conviction. OM...

Mom is here from Wisconsin, and I am in the midst of the marketing that I did not get to do while I was in school, and I am trying to get on with what I am supposed to be doing, while trying to do the things that I want to be doing, and I am not getting the results that I was looking for from Saturday Market, and I am just plain frustrated right now, but that is the nature of the beast we call life and I have to roll with the flow of the way things go. I was looking at my extended birthchart for some clues, and it keeps saying that my planetary influences are opposing my karmic goals and purpose. How is that even possible? I tell you, I am feeling it today. I had a nice time at the Country Fair yesterday, and I have some fun pics that I promise to share with you, but summer is really turning up the heat here, and I am sure you have plenty to keep you busy...Talk to you later...

Grades Are In!!!

Well, for those of you who have been patiently awaiting the report card from this semester that you have had to endure with me, I just thought I'd let you know that I got one of my best report cards ever...3 A's and 1 B(Math). Sadly, I had an A going into the math final (a 91), but the last couple of weeks I really kind of felt like I have come this far in life without the knowledge of "specific anti-derivative formulas" and been okay, so...my final was good enough to pass! I can honestly say that I know more about them than I did before, so it was not completely a wash... You may have guessed that this means that I got an A in Figurative Ceramics, and for those of you who have known me for a while, you might recognize that this was almost a given. I did manage to try a couple of things I would not have tried on my own, and made a few really nice sculptures, and got to be a part of a clay studio again for a while. That was sweet. Then there was Geology (Plant's and Birds in Rocks and Things) which was more difficult than I had figured on, but also was delightfully entertaining. It didn't hurt that most of the lab assignments involved scientific drawing which is one of my FAVORITE things to do (I really mean it!)and that it involved a lot of Biology which has always been one of my absolute favorite subjects. My best teacher EVER was my Biology teacher in Whitehall, Ohio-(For those of you who have been reading along for a while it will be no surprise that his name is Mr. SCHOOLER-I swear! You can look it up!) The Crown Jewel of my report card is the A that I got from Alex Stotts. I knew going into it that she was going to be serious about her subject: Global Feminisms. She is also serious about writing. I have always liked to write, guess that's why you are glued to this space...riveted by the exciting life of a glamorous artiste, and the trials and tribulations of reaching for the *****STARS*****, but let's just say that Ms. Stotts was looking for the kind of writing that is anything BUT what I do here! Or anything like I have done in the past! I still feel like I barely got to the part where I could pull together a number of ideas and clearly state what it meant to me in a concise manner (maybe I haven't yet...you tell me!) I took this as my challenge class, and it worked. Not only that, but I succeeded in an area that I had previously feared. Well, succeeded...hmmmm...better make that KICKED ASS in!!! Alright, on that note, Happy Birthday America! Pass the Ketchup, Please...

WELL HHHEEEEEELLLLLLOOOOOOOO!!! Happy Birthday to my sister Robyn, and 1/2 Birthday to ME!!! (we are "evil twins") How are all of my little Blog-lo-dytes? Sorry for the unofficial hiatus, I made it through my first official computer crash, technical difficulties, and am back to tell you that I am not really all that thrilled with the whole process. Fortunately I have the important stuff backed up on disk (pictures). It wasn't just my computer that was being difficult, it was an entire parade of technicalities, bloopers, and mayhem that I can only attribute to the chaos created by the upwelling of energy that had been previously stored in the corners and cubbyholes here at Castle Fontaine! It doesn't help that Uranus went retrograde on Monday the 19th, or that the new moon in Cancer on Sunday helped to focus energy on what needed to be done in the home. I was grounded anyway until that got taken care of. Or maybe it is that I am grounded NOW that I have that taken care of! So...now that I am back, I can tell you that my mama is here from the Dairy State!!! Babboo and my friend "Jungelove" and I made a day of it visiting the "Last Thursday Artwalk" in Portland. It is a relatively new and informal happening on Alberta between 15th and 30th avenues every last Thursday of the month. It was a great time. You can put your table of work out on the sidewalk, and display your wares(this was an informational journey only for me). There were gallery openings and all sorts of fun things going on. Good timing on the flight mama! I have to check up on what is up in the planetary lineup, but I can tell you that summer is getting ready to burst!!! Get your business in order, because by the time the Sun gets to LEO on the 23rd of July...you are going to want to embrace your passion and enjoy some personal freedom...you can practice up for it this weekend! Had quite a grad weekend driving up the coast to Lincoln City to see an old friend. Yesterday we got back and hit the ground running...Had my interview with the art council, did two hairwraps, a whirlwind cleaning job on the abode, and then a tarot reading. This morning I had an appointment at "Mother Kali's bookstore" and sold a set of cards to what is now my latest retail outlet! She is in a brand new space on Willamette and it is a major improvement-a beautiful store. Happy ME! My "infinite wisdom" (the voice that keeps telling me that I am not nearly busy enough...) has decided that it makes sense to basically flip the house upside down and put the boys in their own rooms in what is now the "master"? bedroom and the study, so I have set about purging that area. While this is a healthy thing (you wouldn't believe what you can collect under the heading "for collage..."), it is quite a task. I thought this was supposed to be SUMMER VACATION!!! That means that we (me and Babboo-and "leetle dog" too) will be back up in the "attic" where we started 5 years ago! It also means that I am going to have to move out and move back in again, which is a good thing since it gives me an excuse to offload all the ^*&^*^ that I have accumulated in the nooks and crannies. Where does all this come from? I do my best to buy only what I need, but there is all this STUFF! Since tomorrow is the Summer Solstice, I am not sure if this still qualifies as "Spring Cleaning" but since I am such a procrastinator I was BORN on the last day of the year, it is right on time for me. As for you....get out there and celebrate the longest day of the year in style...Here on the "Left Coast" Summer begins bright and early at 5:26am-YAWN...I'm gonna have to program my dreams to salute it. OM...
