     Hey Now.  Hope you all had a good week.  I certainly did.  But then, you probably gathered that from faithfully reading this daily like I'm sure you do.  

     I don't really have a whole lot to say today-(well-that's probably not true...) Today I guess we'll be examining taking it easy.  I think it's an art form to truly relax-and I am going to practice it this weekend.  I'm not saying that I'm not going to do anything, or get anything done-quite the opposite actually-I have mandalas to produce, Reiki to practice, boys to feed, dogs to run, charts to read, hairwraps to do, and fun to have, I am just going to do it all in it's own time with no stress. 

     Your homework is to be chillin like a villain along with me...

BACK TO SCHOOL DAY !!! YAHOO!!!  I have the type of job that allows me to slip in and out of rountine which definately has it's merits, but can allow a little more slack than is productive...I do not HAVE to drive the kids to school in the morning, but life is more regular when I do, so I do. Then I go get a coffee at our local Hippie Mart, and run Leetle Dawg at the P-A-R-K.  (I swear he knows I just wrote that because he just came and gave me love).  He LOVES the Kong ball.  We were playing with his girlfriend a couple of days ago, and I swear they are Kong Toy poster dogs....him with his ball and her romping around him-a big red dog (Dobie) with a big red disc!  Fun Times!

UGH!  You see how I wander without any limits?  It has been like that my whole life.  It's a wonder I get anything done at all!  But I DO!  And speaking of getting things done, I am almost completely finished with the 50th wedding anniversary mandala that I have been working on since last fall!  Thankfully the person who ordered it did so early and I have been able to work on it around other things, but now it is crunch time and it is coming together quite nicely.  It is one of the largest ones I have ever done, and includes the couple, their 4 kids, their 2 kid in-laws, and their 5 grandchildren!  WHEW!   I am really honored to have been asked to represent their love with my work.  OM.

Okay-so enough about me-let's talk about the Full Moon tonight.  January's full moon is also known as the Wolf Moon because it happened in the dead of winter when the hungry wolves could be heard close to the village.  The full moon is in Cancer tonight.  Cancer moon inspires dreams that take us back to the womb and the feminine influence upon humankind.  Under this moon we should refuse to yield to any form of self-pity, or blaming another for our circumstance.  Find a way to utilize the higher aspects of your service and sympathy for all of creation.

Day Two, and so far my streak remains unbroken...whew!

Today I am going to field a question from the studio audience:

A viewer from Florida asks "Exactly how many blogs does it take to make a book?"

My initial answer to this is that plenty of books have been written without the Blog phenomena, however I am certain that a good number of them have been written because of it.  I am guessing that I have clearly carved out a writing style through the magic of the Blog and that writing a book might be as simple as sitting down and writing it on a consistent basis until it was done.  That is easy to do with a Blog.  In the beginning I gave myself some simple ground rules:

1. Write everyday
2. Write something fun
3. K.I.S.S.
4.  Remember it's not ALL about me (only mostly...it is MY blog)

As far as writing a book goes...bookstores are proof that you don't have to be a genius or even a very good writer to whip out a book.  I have often thought that I have a number of books waiting to be written all swirled up inside of me.  It seems like whenever I sit down to write things down, I have so much to say that I do not even know where to begin, or end.  I also figure that my book will be all about my experiences, and that those experiences should somehow help others who may be struggling with similar ones.  In order to help them, I feel like somehow I should be able to hold up the light for them to follow...yet I still fumble with the lantern.  I feel like I will know when and if it is time, that I have a point to make.  Until then I will continue musing about life, and how I get by, here in the cyber pages of MandalaBlog.

My question for you is:  If someone offered YOU a book deal, what would  YOU most like to write about?

Not to be cliche, but Happy New Year, y'all!  

After some ROCKIN' homemade sushi among friends, Midnight came for me and Babboo while we were shakin, our booties to the groovin' beats of Reeble Jar at the fabulous McDonald Theater.  I have been looking forward to the year 2007 ever since I realized that my birthdate adds up to it.  It was super fun, and a good day to be alive, not to mention have a birthday!

This year is a NINE year for everybody.  2+0+0+7=9.  Nine is number of completion.  All multiples of nine add up to nine! (9+9=18/1+8=9...) Nine vibrates to the energy of the planet Mars.  This energy is direct, and this year could prove to be a time to get to the heart of the matter, and/or get down to business.  This year will also be the Chinese year of the Fire Boar.  The Boar is the last animal in the 12 year Chinese Zodiac cycle, and again the theme is one of completion.  

The 9 year, in Tarot terms, is the year of the Hermit.  This year is a time for understanding things.  The time is right for correcting old habits, and resolving long-standing differences.  The answers to your most perplexing problems will come when you retreat to a quiet place, and give yourself a moment to listen to the voice(s) within.  Just a small reminder...if the voices are telling you to buy, buy, buy, sell, sell, sell, or kill anything, you might want to run it by someone you trust before acting on it.  Rule of thumb,if your question keeps being the same, then something else needs to change!

As a quick aside, in another couple of weeks, I will have been writing this Blog for 2 years, and while at first I tried to write something every day, I have yet to be able to make it for very long without skipping for one reason or another.  I heard recently of a theater project that involves having a play a day for a year.  A number of theater troupes are involved in putting these plays on and many of the plays are simple, one acts that come across as Guerrilla Theater.  I say that if they can do that, I can at least poke on the keyboard for a moment or two and say "hey now" to my faithful.  Thanks for checking in!  Let the Guerrilla Blogs begin...

Sometimes I think maybe I think too much, and I wonder what it might be like if everything didn't trigger some sort of free association with a chain of events that make my soul be the ball of experience that I have become. Maybe I would have a lot more time to do all of the things that I concieve of. Geez-I could really use some detail people around here. 

Somebody asked me recently if I believed in reincarnation...I did not tell him that I believe that my group of friends and I are living proof that it exists,( but I probably don't have to tell you...that is why you are my loyal bloglodytes and I thank you!)  Yes-a pretty bold statement, but there have been so many people that I have met this time through that I no doubt have had a contract with and recognized when I first met.  Puts my trust in God and Man.

I'm really looking forward to this Birthday/New Years Eve and am going to spend the night at the McDonald Theater with Babboo and a good number of the MycoCrew.  Looks like we are getting together to make sushi and play with dogs for the day, and jammin' Reeble Jar with Samba Ja-the Brazilian Samba Band through the night.  These are a few of my favorite things!  Perhaps I have mentioned that my birthdate adds up to 2007-which in turn adds up to 9-which is the number of completion.  The question I believe I would like to propose for the year of 2007 is:

     "What would it take for you to feel complete?"  Let's go see!

AAHAHHHHAHHHhhhhhhh....
Gently breezed through the holiday pretty gracefully, yet at a pretty good clip.  I surprised myself with my productivity and ability to shift from work, to home, to kids, to dogs, to food, to healing, to friends, to sleep...as well as my ability to finish two mandalas "in my spare time."  If I haven't managed to say hello to you, my adoring bloglodytes, forgive me.  You have been on my mind in the form of little thoughts of "what I'd write if I could get an elbow into the ribs of Thing One and/or Thing Two and the Teenaged Throngs that accompany them and boot them off of their "lifeline" MySpace..."  

 I had a most amazing Christmas, and Babboo got me a beautiful handmade white gold ring with a moonstone which is carved like a face and is a subtle almost luminescent flesh pink.  It was created by a jeweler that he has known for quite a long time, and it is seamlessly crafted.  A true work of art for which I am both surprised and grateful.  

Tomorrow I will be going to have my third re-attunement and initiation into Reiki Do-Satori.  I will also be recieving the karmic cleansing channel, one which I imagine will come in handy at times.  I have been really feeling the effects of the Reiki that I have been giving and receiving. 

...and I was just interrupted by a phone call from someone who wants me to make them a mandala to help them heal their grief...ommmm...I will do my best.

Anyway...this gives me more proof that my plan is working!   

Okay, enough about me (for now) though it is a subject I know quite a bit about and still find fascinating...sigh...

Planets are beginning to make the leap into Capricorn and today Mercury enters the sign of public standing...are you ready to present your case to the board?  Communicate your desires to the cosmos.  What do you want for the coming year?  Write it down and put it out there.  Be clear and detailed.  The universe has a funny way of giving us exactly what we ask for, and when we are not clear of our intention, we just sort of manifest the most unproductive little busy work.  If we are lucky, when we unwittingly smack into our fate, we recognize that we had better get a move on!!!  Now is as good a time as any...maybe I'll write a book or two (in my "spare time")

Friday, Pluto will be conjunct the Galactic Center of the Universe.  Hold onto your hats...until after midnight on Sunday....WOOHOO!!!

WOW KIDS!  This weekend was so action packed, I needed to take an extra day just to come back to center!  All this horsey energy in Sag aspects all my planets there (it's one of my most energetic houses already), and since it affects my 5th house of Creativity and Sex...Let's just say that I have been experiencing a RODEO of Creativity...I am sure I am not the only one who has more projects going than usual, and this weekend was full of festivities. 

The highlight of my weekend was Mr. and Mrs. Random's Solstice Party on Saturday.  We got all wild and crazy and went GANGBUSTERS on a sweet little Santa Claus Jigsaw Puzzle---WOOHOO-We were ALL up past pumpkin hour looking for that ONE piece that should have been SO easy to find-I finally had to say enough is enough, and get some sleep so that I could wake up and make three batches of cookies for a cookie party the next day at the home of Pajina Caliente, who was back from her place in Colorado.  It's tradition, and we make some really rockin' cookies if I do say so myself.  (and of course, you know I do!)

Today I had to lay low.  My system was overloaded with sugar, and lack of sleep, and not much was happening at the Mush Room, so I stayed home and did some more Christmas puttering, as well as kept Thing One and Thing Two and various friends fed and watered.  Christmas Break is quite the opposite for Mom.  

As far as the planets go, Pluto (yah-yah-asteroid, or whatever...) was conjunct the Sun in Sagittarius today, and basically a light was shined on the things that we will be finishing out so that we can get a fresh start in the New Year.  What ends need to be tied up in your little world...Sagittarius gives us the energy to do it.  Meanwhile, on Wednesday we have the Sagittarius New Moon, and Thursday the Winter Solstice as the Sun moves into practical Capricorn, and the ideas that have been romping around in our heads during the Sagittarian influence of higher learning, can start to become reality under the watchful eye of Father Time (Saturn) who rules Cap.  We are also headed toward the date when Pluto is conjunct Galactic Center on the 28th.  We have been flirting with this all year.   Scientists have discovered that our Galactic Center is a Black Hole...what if Pluto, now that it is diminished in status, decides that it should just jump right in...will it take the rest of us with it?  Talk about Down the Rabbit Hole...WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

On that note...I need to rest up for tomorrow when there is yet another party at Feesh-licious's Humble Home.   YEEEEEE-HAWWWW!!!!

Darlings,  I hope that you are all making progress toward your Holiday giving...all the little crafty things and such that keep us on the edge of adrenaline fatigue.  I was reading Mrs. Random and I saw that she is having the same kind of fluttering about as I am, with a list of things to do, a number of things that are getting done, and what I feel, in my case,  is a haphazard way of getting it all to fit in.  Sigh, tis the season to be crafty!

I have a special meditation that I have been doing lately, and I want to share it with you, as it has been really sweet, so here goes:

     Prepare yourself in your usual meditative way, counting down to relaxation, and then picture yourself inside of a beautiful golden egg.  This egg surrounds you and bathes you in the golden light of "the great amoeba"  (aka GOD) and fills you with love and light.  When you feel surrounded by this golden light, pictrue a gentle violet flame caressing the egg, and gently burning off any negativity, harmful entities, anger, stress, illness, etc, that may be coming to or from you.  Breathe in the purified energy of the universe and fill yourself with it's beautiful and infinite energy.  Come back to the room filled with the light of the Divine.

This has been really powerful for me personally, and I have a friend who lives across the country, who has been having difficulties finding anything more than a string of temporary jobs.  This has been going on for this entire year (and then some!).  We did the visualization a couple of weeks ago, and then again at the beginning of this week together.  Yesterday she called and told me that not only did a friend of hers present her with a beautiful and multicolored egg ornament which was trimmed in gold (hmmmm....) but she got placed in an office job that, if she gets hired on permanently, sounds like a PERFECT fit for her.  A Christmas Miracle?  I certainly hope so for her sake, it's been a long time coming. 

On that note I leave you with the mantra of the Violet Flame

"I am a being of Violet Fire, I am the Purity God Desires."   OOOOMMMM.......
