Hey Kid's What's New? I'll tell you, Baboo's New Do!!! For many years He's grown his hair Without a care But now he's bare!!! I didn't think, I'd see the day, Baboo would say, It's going away!!! But hair was here, And now it's gone, We carry on, And I ramble on, and on, and on... He gave it up, They took his hair, For kids to wear, That have lost theirs!!! It was just as I thought. One hour-late night, to tell us that we aren't going to have sonora beans, mud pie, or fajitas burritos. That there are changes to the fiesta platter, that we can still modify almost everything to be like it was before. Like I said earlier-I'd have been happy with just a memo, but then I wouldn't have had the excitement of getting to see all of my co-workers in their street clothes! OOH!

Uneventful=boring blog. Routine day-set up my official IDA account-6 mos. to triple my investment!!! The overlords of the little bull have decided to have a night time meeting tonite about the "new menu changes" That usually means we got rid of something people really like, and raised prices. We can't just read the memo? I'm sure I will have some bitterness to spew after having to interupt my creative hours to listen to a bunch of people bitch about how no one else does any work around there. A close friend of my Baboos is in surgery right now. I don't feel the need to go into detail (?!) I just want to send out as much love as I can. We're all in it together. The angel that presides over Wednesday is Raphael, the angel of healing and surgeries. The birth angel for today is Hariel-the angel of Purification. I hope that this treatment does just that, and purifies her body. Thank you, friends.

So, it's the height of allergy season here in "the valley of sickness." It seems that the Willamette Valley has it's own special recipe for Pollen Stew. All around us, the mountains channel air it would seem, straight into the fair cities of Eugene and Springfield. A high pollen count is 200 ppm. We can reach over 500 on a good day. It doesn't help that, not only is Oregon known as one of the states that has medical mary jane, we grow the other kind of grass here too. The pollen season for grass around here is MERCILESS. About this time of year people who wouldn't have allergies anywhere else ar stocking up on anti-histamines, Kleenex, and eyedrops. I myself have been diligently taking my Claritin 24 hour every morning before I take kid #2 to school. So this morning, while I was preparing for the day, I took my pill, took son #1 to school, and while I was getting #2 ready, I took another one when I went to give the second kid his!!! OOPS. As if the day weren't going to be slow moving enough-day after a 3 day weekend-Tuesday afternoon, day before my days off, kind of day, I go and take an extra dose of something that is going to make me drowsy. JOY. Oh well, even on a bad day I forget more things in one day than most people have to remember!!! (say WHAT???) I say we close this afternoon for fountain repairs. I need a village to pillage.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. It seems that the powers that be brought out the team and approved the removal of one very large, not particularly attractive water feature from between the cantina and the patio area of the dining room of the Reserva de Familia. This particular piece of decor, a fountain to be exact (no relation to my Baboo...)has been a source of irritation for quite some time. It was a not very attractive cement number in the middle of a square pool of water. The water had to be refilled within days of being changed for a number of reasons, most of them having to do with the natural attraction of curtain climbers to things that splash. The pump didn't work properly, the water got greasy and smelly. The plastic floating lily pads got flipped over, and pulled apart by the aformentioned ankle biters, and the thing would every so often overflow and flood the dining area. SWEET. When I left last week, the center was being removed and renovations begun. When I came back on Sunday there was the large square pool, filled with dirt, with what looks an awful lot like the volcano that the Brady Bunch kid built for science fair. You know, the episode where it sprays mud all over the mod seventies family room. By the time I left Sunday afternoon, someone had placed two plastic pigs in the dirt, and there was talk of whether it should be a junglescape, a sandbox or a volcano. I'm voting for a remote mountain village, with ancient ruins, native species of plants and animals, artifacts and evidence of strange and mystical rituals.

And now a word from our sponsor-Saturday Market-The Country's longest running outdoor arts and farmer's marketplace... Yesterday, I got the booth that I have had all month again. If one of the requirements for getting a reserved space is that you are there once a month, someone is not doing their part-or this space has yet to be reserved. I didn't get any word yes or no yet sooo... My booth looked good with the new signs. It gets a little better every week. The snaps made my life way easier, and the guy in the booth next to me said that my tarps were "innovative". I like that! I didn't get a picture of it with stuff in it, but I will. The day was kind of overcast and windy enough to create some hassle most of the day. My top tarp was a bit of a parachute, and my booth was inching over throughout the afternoon. It didn't start raining until just after I got home and unloaded. THAT'S a good day.

Details DO make the difference. I've added quite a bit of signage to the booth, and I found the PERFECT little collapsable corner table at the StVdeP.I am using it to hold my trinkets for hairwraps. I've added more pics of my booth progress to my photo album!!! I'll take a pic of it at market tomorrow with all of my stuff in it. I am happy with the progress!!

Maybe that's the catch-if you can't see who you are sleeping with it may be easier to maintain the main vein. Spent a special day in the sweet, sunny, summertime heat wave setting snaps for the Saturday Market booth as promised. I got all of the tabs fitted down to the last 8 and I found that I was missing 8 male sides of the units. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense since I bought an even number of males and females, and I had exactly enough female sides to do ALL of the tabs...hmmmmmmmmm, curiouser and curiouser. I guess I'll just have to make another run to the cloth store-awwwwwww shucky darns. I just hope I can resist the allure of all of the other projects I am taunted with while I am there. Wish Me Luck!!!
