Today is the birthdate of my dear old friend Aaron. He was born on Friday the 13th and he came into my life through some crazy twists of fate. He was a sheep in wolf's clothing, but he knew that I knew that he was a Friend of the Devil. We may be goin' to Hell in a bucket, Baby... Our first encounter revolved around a storm that leaves no trace, Marie Antionette, having her cake and eating it too, early morning April 4, and a cast of thousands. He is not the Messiah, he is a very naughty boy. There were U2 connections and I manifested a miracle that got us backstage passes, and VIP treatment from Bono himself. Through our friendship, I learned about unconditional love for my-self, and how important it is in order to be able to give unconditional love to others. I learned tai chi, and yoga, and Reiki. We ate, lived, and breathed energy work. We were taking it all in at light speed. Then came the moment I had to leave. For a while we kept in touch, but sometimes you just get too far apart. I guess I always thought we'd know where the other one was, but we haven't spoken in years. I do know that he still has a huge impact on who I am, and in my eyes he is Ida-the Lunar energy snake, on the heart side of the caudeuceus. I also know that he was instrumental in preparing me for what I am experiencing now...Thank you.

It is Veteran's Day, and the eve of the birthday of my Grandfather-who happens to be a World War II veteran. He landed on the beach at Normandy-a small tank mechanic. He told me he was not heroic by any means. He said his strategy was "HIDE!!!" It obviously worked. Last month, the 11th revolved around connection with the divine. The master number-a link to God. It involved crossing over and unmistakable patterns. Today is 11-11 and the number that the date adds up to 11(2)+11(2)+2005(7)= 11. I got an email about this being an astrologically important portal which is going to allow more pure love energies into our vibrations and our DNA will align and allow our energies to become more purified! Doesn't it make you wonder who the people are who are able to just sit around and meditate on all of these things NON-STOP? The email identified this as energies from Mary and Gabriel-which are motherly love vibrations. (Remember Gabriel is the Angel that announced to Mary that "she was going to have the child of God.") Whether you believe any, or all of this is irrelevant. The fact that you just read it here makes you face a decision on whether you want to believe it or not. Let's just say you think about the prospect of more peace and love coming into our consciousnesses. Ask yourself, "what would that be like." I wonder how I would know if it were true. Would people all of a sudden start smiling at you at the grocery store? Would you all of a sudden be making more money, or at least paying your bills on time? Would the crew from Oprah come and give you a new house? Would there be things that you wouldn't do anymore? Things that you would do more of? Today I get to lay low and take care of my home, family and art. Ahhh-Bliss. I know that on days like these, I am radiating more love and joy into the community chi. Hope it rubs off. Well Kids, I have been floating along, utilizing the free tripod server, and having my cake and eating it too. I have been posting my musings, and random thoughts without regard to someone having to make a living off of people like me. Sure-they give you some disk space and make it easy to post your pics and things, then you get to the point that I am at, and you have to kick down $5 a month to get some more memory. Somehow it all seems so calculated. Oh-maybe because it is-it's called BUSINESS and it is not wrong to ask for what you are worth!!! People who want your service WILL PAY FOR IT!!! I'd rather live in the reality where so many people will visit my site, they will be paying me to keep it here...Tell all of your friends!!! RIGHT NOW!

I am having a lot of fun lately, and finding out that it is really beginning to have a ripple effect...I am becoming aware that I am having a positive effect on the world around me more often than not, and it makes me feel like creating more artwork!! I realize that everything is not perfect, that even though I do not have to worry about whether I will encounter a roadside bomb, or that I do not have to reconstruct my reality after a major natural disaster, I can make it easier for those who do by bringing positive energy to the things that I do each day. Today is "Hippie Monday" at the Kinky Cucina. Just me and two other food getters, one smiling people greeter, a food maker and a guy who spends an awful lot of Monday on the phone trying to keep the building from sinking into what was once FLOODPLAIN!!! Even though my "PERFECT" day does not really include having to make sure that people get their salad before their quesadilla, while I try not to forget the side of sour cream and extra chips and salsa for an entire cantina full of people, I will go there and perform my duty so that I can fill my pocket with cash and keep a roof over my head and food in the bellies of my boys...Whatever you are doing to get by-make the best of it! :) For those of you who have a minute to play-go to www.starroot.com and type in your birthdate to find out what your Mayan Birthpath number is (and totem). Today is my bestest friend on the whole planet(perhaps in the GALAXY!)'s BIRTHDAY!!! I didn't even have a moment where I had a chance to call her, or send her an e-card or nothin' due to my duties at the Mystic Mariachi. Boo Hoo. I suck. My birthday wish for her is that we find a rockin good reason to hang out together soon. I can always count on fun when we go camping together-right sister?! (teehee) Yes, we have grown older-and hopefully along the way, wiser. I can tell you that in the past we have gathered some legendary camping with boys stories. I have also heard "that girl is trouble " more than once. Camping with boys is what kept us from running away with the Dead when we were thirteen, and what made us follow them later on!!! I'm pretty happy with the boy that I've got right now, so maybe we should try something else that is less dangerous-like skydiving? Happy Birthday, Soul Sister ~G I LOVE YA. On a bit of a tangent from the birthday wishes, but along the lines of legendary camping with boys...It has come to my attention that this space is being monitored by an alumni of Del Taco de los Muertos as a way of keeping abreast of developments as the Taco Turns. This fellow co-worker helped make my first camping with Baboo trip a most enjoyable excursion. We went to Curious George, Washington-to play Dead, and lived it up. He and our chauffer had to endure an ungodly amount of giggling, and some pretty cramped accomodations, but navigated the way with a smile. Hey Now-Old Friend~you know who you are. HI ;)

Son Jr. is at his first DUCK game with his girlfriend's family. Son No. 1 is at his friend Cracker's. Baboo is Nappin' and Tyrone is content with his bone. Kitchen is at bay, email is read, laundry is in motion, living room is vacuumed. This is my version of Heaven. Seems like quite a few things are coming to a head all over the place. I have been fielding questions from friends and aquaintances about what the next move might be. It is occuring all over the place and in a lot of different areas of life. My own personal feeling is that of unfolding layers. I get the feeling of those little folded paper games that we played on the playground. I pick a color-Purple-"P-U-R-P-L-E". Then another-"G-R-E-E-N"-then a number-3-"1-2-3"-"You will marry a monkey." This game will unfold-as each of the steps are followed, and the answer will come at the end. How you answer each question determines the outcome. Give it your best-and don't be afraid-the universe has a great sense of humor so that you can learn to laugh at yourself. See if you can beat it to the Punch-line. (What have they spiked it with this time?) Love Potion #9.

Shut Up and Work!!!

I have this piece of artwork that I created about 12 years ago. It is a mosaic on glass and it has my philosophy about creativity-which is "How to be and artist in three easy steps: 1.forget money exists (See no evil) 2. Listen to your inner voice (Hear no evil) 3. Shut up and work (Speak no evil)." As if to illustrate that point, today, the day that I have known I was speaking to the advanced art class for three weeks now, I woke up with NO VOICE!!! I don't feel ill otherwise, but I can hardly make a sound, and to do so requires some unneccessary strain. This isn't good when your work actually involves PUBLIC SPEAKING!!! I also had to be the closing manager of the Monterey Cafe. Fortunately it was slow enough that I did not really have to have very much interaction with the public or their food. I used it as an excuse to hang out in the office a lot! I told you all in an entry earlier this week that there was some energy stuff going on with the throat chakra, and to pay attention to what you are manifesting with your voice. I got a little frustrated when I lost mine, at first thinking about the fact that I had been consciously trying to make my throat chakra straighten up and fly right, and here I was-sick there! Then I really thought about how much healing energy was now being concentrated on it, and what I was learning from not having a voice. I realized that my imbalance is not so much that I DON'T talk about things, but that I talk TOO MUCH about things!!! (thanks for listening!) With Mercury in Sagittarius for the next few weeks (which is my natal placement as well) it is not likely that I am going to shut up any time soon, however, I feel a renewed sense of commitment to only talking about what is important, and LISTENING TOO!!! On that note-I'm going to SHUT UP and GO TO BED!!! G'Nite

Something from out in left field has come in for a closer look. If the Chicago White Sox can win a pennant...ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN (congrats by the way!) I don't really talk a lot about the fact that I have an extensive knowledge of ceramics, and I am really good with teen-agers. It was almost another lifetime ago that I honed my skills in this area. I got interested in ceramics in college, and am very close to a degree in it. I haven't had a studio for a long time, and have kept myself very busy doing other things (paintings and collages mostly). I can't even say that I really felt like I missed it. Here, however-I am in a situation that looks like a golden opportunity to get back into the studio-and-if I play my cards right, I will be getting paid to do it!!! I will keep you posted, WISH ME LUCK!!!

I keep hearing "Pedro" from Napoleon Dynamite-giving his class president speech, and saying that he thought that the school should have "some Holy Santo's for the hallway..." I flash to the dashboard of my pink car, and my plastic Jesus from Alien Al. My Santa Maria from Nurse Sarah, the Statue of Liberty from "Is Doug still here?". Assorted other sentimentorabilia come to prominence in the third eye. I get a smile out of it. Today is a special day. I like the feel of it. I woke up to gray skies and good steady but not too heavy Oregon Rain. I keep thinking about Papa Legba. He is the Gatekeeper to the spirits of the VooDoo religion. In order to begin a ritual and let the "riders"(the spirits) out to ride their "horses"(those posessed by the spirits). Horses are Sagittarian energy, and this is my 5th house of creativity (and SEX!-woo-hoo) I have four planets here, and the sun shining on the other side of the pasture in the Capricorn field. Is that what makes the grass greener over there? This is the sitxth house which is the house of service to others, and how you relate to co-workers. My sun is here and Capricorn is the house of Career and public standing, so it goes to figure that my job would be one where I am a server-in a very public restaurant! I love to grouse about it, but I guess I take for granted how many people that I meet in the course of one day, or in one week...I know that I am lucky to be able to talk to a number of them about what it is that I REALLY do...Mandalas! I need to get the gate open so that my house of creativity works in concert with my house of career and public standing, and I become a world reknowned Mandala Artist and Teacher! I am putting it out there that I might really like to start as a ceramic teacher... On that note...I'd better get in the shower and get ready to face my public... Hope I get to have time for a daydream or two.

What Do Hillbillies do for Halloween?----PUMP-KIN!!!  This is one of my favorite holidays. When I was a kid my ULTRA creative mother would make me and my two sisters these awesome costumes. (Later I will dig out some pics and add them to my photo album~I have more to say today, but I gotta spend the day at the Diablo's Lair!) One year we were the Three Little Pigs, One year we were cowgirls with these SWEET paper mache horses (and go-go boots!). Our little Wisconsin town had a huge Halloween parade and we always won the group category. A few of my 15 minutes were shaved off by being in the newspaper a bunch when I was little! This year I found these sweet red feathered wings. I'm going as a Hell's Angel. (I've been searchin' for the daughter of the devil himself...) I have ghost stories for later on tonight-STAY TUNED~ OOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
