Hi Kids, Yesterday I got word that my financial aid had been processed already, and I got my number from which they decide to give me aid or not. I have to find out from the University what the exact numbers are, but if they will cover my tuition, and maybe throw me a couple of bones for books and supplies, I've got the rest covered! (OOOMMMMMM...bring it on!) I got my transcripts from the University and they say that I need a multi-cultural class and HAHAHA-two basic drawing, and two basic design classes!!!LOL I have 5 seperate drawing classes on my transcripts, and countless studio hours. It is simply a matter of talking to an advisor, and fitting the ones I have into the slots they require. Worst case scenario-I have to take a drawing class!!! Boo Hoo! The next three months are going to be TERRIFIC for an intellectual-communication cycle as Mercury and the Sun aspect each other. Mars squares Uranus which is all about Enlightenment. This quarter is ripe for learning new things, or more likely, learning what we already know...and using it! The Full moon lunar eclipse in Virgo on Tuesday the 14th highlights AWARENESS and deep transformation. Soak it up!

I did it. I filed my student aid (which I WILL qualify for!), I put in my RE-application for school, and I got my passwords and access to DUCKWEB so that I can sign up for classes. I need to wait until tomorrow for access, but then I can check my transcript, and fill in the blanks for an expected degree in JUNE 2006 (that's this year!!!) All PRAISE the Goddesses of Registration and Transcripts, and help me get through without a hitch in my GIDDY-UP. Can't wait to finish it!

You can tell by the way my Tuesday blog was titled, and how I didn't really mention school in the BLOG, that I am blocking. Here it is like three weeks till school starts at U of O, and I have yet to commit to it. I downloaded the pre-forms, but the FAFSA (student aid) site wouldn't accept my password to file on line (funny-they took my payment with that password NO PROBLEM!) I really have to go and talk to them in person, and here I am talking to you, my loyal fans! I really do want to go and get my degree done. It is because of financial aid that I didn't get it done already, but mostly it is because I took no for an answer on something I should have pushed for. It is good for the University that I get my degree, and I am going to make it happen. I have built this up to be a monster in my mind, I HATE confrontation, but I know that I can do this-IT IS TIME. What I need them to do is drop a bunch of credits that are useless toward my degree-I hate to admit that many of my credits are older than the people working in the financial aid department! If I can get them to drop about 15 credits, I will qualify for aid, and I can finish. The last time I tried the girl helping me said she wouldn't drop them. I took no for an answer because it was easier. WELL, LOOK OUT-It's not going to be so easy to get rid of me this time. I have one semester between me and my degree...give it to me!!!

Well, I got the quote from the printers today-and YES-I DO have expensive taste. The cards as I have them in full on technicolor will run me pretty close to the exact amount of the IDA-(and I did not even reveal how much I was getting!) I'm good at that. You can ask Baboo how often I go to the grocery store and spend within a dollar or two what I have on me. I think it has something to do with being a tipped employee for so long, and having small amounts of cash every day instead of two lump sums per month. You learn exactly how much money can('t!) buy! (All KNEEL and pay tribute to the Goodwill Goddess) I proceeded to figure out a solution for the cards without compromising too much of the design, and I figured out how to save about $2k simply by using all one color ink, and 4 basic colors of paper for the outer jackets-it is worth the compromise. I also have an ace up my sleeve...they want to charge me $720 to typeset the cards. Because I am a Saturday Market Member, I have available to me, for FREE, a person who will help me design business cards, and signs to be print ready...perhaps she would also help me typeset these, so they will be print ready!!! I could probably even kick her down some grant cash to help the market too!!! It's a WIN-WIN-WIN. HHHMMMMMMM... I am going to talk to the printer about paper choices later this week-I also want business cards, and logo-head stationary for the readings. Throw in a bunch of prints, and off we go. There are only three Saturdays between me and Opening Day of Saturday Market...and my IDA has not officially been approved and released yet...I do like a good nail-biter! All hail the Patron Saints of Paperwork!!

Another Pisces Birthday, it seems that I have a special place in my life for those Neptunian Nymphs. My friend, and supporter of my art (she has the largest collection of custom works, and helps spread the word...) Miss Mary, is having a birthday today. (You can see her family piece on my "custom" page back at the website) Pisces is the sign of the fishes. One is swimming one way, and one the opposite. Nothing can move forward until the opposites learn to work together. Pisces are dreamers, and they are sensitive to the energy of others. Because of their subconscious wavelength, they are able to know what you are feeling sometimes before you do. They can be drawn to people who need help, and can find themselves taking care of the emotional needs of the others, with little regard for their own. Since this is a sign of balance-the two need to harmonize-there must be enough give AND take. This week is going to be exciting-with mercury AND jupiter retrograde, Jupiter will be conjunct the sun, shining it's light on LUCK and EXPANSION, this Thursday. These are the two giants in the sky-make way for big plans by getting rid of the little tasks that are cluttering your thoughts...one by one-it all gets done. Saturday could be exciting with mercury joining the sun and Mars-the planet of war squaring Uranus, the planet of science and mysticism. This could make for some interesting fireworks. My advice is get everything done Thursday and Friday so that you have nothing to stress over on Saturday-then lay low for the weekend. Monday is a new week.

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...in a good way. Yesterday I was basically missing in action from the everyday world, as I was transported into a soft, feminine, healing circle on the "International Day of Healing" held by a group of women (or more likey Womyn) who are creating a spiritual community here in our area. I feel very good today. I attended a Nia movement workshop-this is something that I could happily put in place of the "excersize" program I was following at the "Torturous Toreador". I found out where I am getting soft from doing artwork while eating bon-bons on my sofa! I attended a laughter workshop-I got my shoulders massaged. I ate luscious homemade soup, I had psychic surgery on my vision center, and I met a group of people who were treating each other very well. How nice is that?! When is the last time you took a moment to immerse yourself in kindness? My suggestion is "GO DO IT RIGHT NOW!!!".

First I need to say Happy Birthday to Fleesh-E's man Chris. It is because of his birthdate that I call this Trinity Day. You see back in '03 shortly after I met Fleesh-E, she had me do a mandala for her boyfriend . His name is Christian, and his birthdate the year I did his mandala was 03-03-03!!! (you can view it on my website under "custom mandalas"-and I'm pretty sure that my 03-03-05 entry is the whole story of that...so you can reference it if you want!) The Trinity is CREATION. Taking one idea, adding it to another idea, and making it a bigger and better idea altogether. It is the chemist, it is the artist, it is collaboration. Together Everybody Achieves More!!! (ooh...one too many corporate restaurant team-building seminars!) This is how we got here. It is appropriate, in the spirit of the Holy Ghost, that today would be the day that I have the printer working on the details for how he is going to take my idea and make it printable! I might have mentioned that I have not made it easy for him and his crew of two. I have BRIGHT, BOLD colors, and layers of textured paper in the originals, and no two are the same color cardstock, and there is a card, and an insert, and you don't have to look very far through my website to know that my designs are anything but simple...WELLLLLLLLL.... BBBBBBBRRRRRRREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHEE This is what the grant is for, and I am practicing with a new concept of abundance which does not allow me to freak out over the cost of producing these the way they need to be done. I am not allowed to skimp. I haven't talked about doing the prints, or about mandala journals, or anything else, it is possible that those will need to wait. The really exciting part about this is that yesterday I went in to talk to the guy who runs the small print shop where I have been going to copy my work for the last 4 or 5 years now. There are three people who work there, Ken, the owner, Laura the graphics person, and Chris, the press operator (who has really good tattoos...i.e. knows GOOD INK!-oh-and is named Chris-like the birthday boy...but I digress..all the time...). I was initially hesitant to use them because they do a lot of commercial stock kind of printwork, and I haven't seen a lot of artwork coming out of their shop. I thought maybe I would find someone who worked with artists, but I went to talk to Ken because I needed a place to start. This morning I went in because he called and said that they have some ideas that he thinks will work. He showed me what they talked about, and said that they are all REALLY EXCITED to make it happen. This has become a challenge for them, and they are all three (the magic number...coincidence?) looking forward to doing it! They are talking about how to keep it as close to my original idea as possible, and how to make it right. He mentioned putting the finished product up in their office to show it as an example after it is finished. That is good for both of us!!! With the cost of all of this, I will need all the FREE advertisement I can get! On that note, I have got to finish some actual paperwork...see you soon. thought for today: "Who was that masked man?"

Well Kids, My computer has some problems that I helped create trying to install Norton 2006. Can I just say-oops? I have had an issue with system restore for some time now, but I guess it finally came back and bit me in the RE-BOOT-Y. I will have to have it looked at by the techs, this is not really what I had planned for my business money, but at least I will have a fresh start, and this little puppy should be good for another little while. There is always something! This brings me the the aspect of the week-or actually the next three weeks...MERCURY RETROGRADE. It is part of the cycle of things, and the days leading into and out of a merc retro can have their moments, especially in the areas of communication and travel. It is particularly hard on computers and machinery. I thought by getting the computer stuff done before the planet started moving backwards, I could avoid this, but knowing what I know-I probably picked the moment in the heavens that was prime for losing important data-I expect that the rest of the week should be a prime time to try NOT TO FIX ANYTHING!!!! That goes for you too!!! Pick the projects that you need to FINISH, and concentrate on them. Really clean out the closets (SPRING CLEANING). You all know that my big project has been the business plan, and guess what, IT'S FINISHED!!! I am going to Kinko's to copy it onto some nice paper, and get a fancy little file folder for it, then over to the BDC to type out a quick Excel Spreadsheet, and then-OFF TO THE PRINTERS I GO!!! (oh-and to the computer doctor-I have A PAIN in the SOFTWARE!) Good Luck and Safe Journeys. Thought for the day: "Did I tie my Shoes?"

Pisces New Moon

Good Monday my dears. It is the morning of the new moon in Pisces-one of the dreamiest of the year. It is the moon of the Big Winds. It is the time that water starts to run again, after the winter freezes. It is a time of shifting, changing motion. It is the Blustery Winds Time-the time of the Wolf. I had very vivid dreams about packing boxes and cleaning attics in a big house on a snow covered mountain. Then I was swimming in a wetsuit with Baboo who was showing me the sights of another mountainous winter landscape-seemed like Seattle, or even further north-like Alaska. Then I was talking to a woman about these whale fetishes, and I realized that it was about taking care of the pod. The pod is only as strong as it's weakest member...we need to be helping each other out. This is a time of quick change, and atmospheric turbulence. This week, on Thursday the 2nd, the planet mercury goes retrograde. For those of you who are new at this, Mercury rero is a slowing down period for travel and communication. It is important in the next three weeks to doublecheck your doublecheck. Things might take a little while longer than usual, and add the planet Uranus to the mix on the 5th, moving into Aquarius-it's home, and expect the unexpected. It may seem like all progress is slower than anticipated, and just when you are about to give up on something, it falls together. This is a time when your ability to breathe and meditate on your goal is really challenged, and brought to a new level. REMEMBER TO BREATHE. Oh-yah-the more things you can get taken care of before Thursday, the easier this transit will be...get to work.

Can't believe it's Thursday already. I guess that's what happens when you are drunk from the spoils of tax season. Yes, I got my return last Friday, and this is the time of year that I get to shop for the little things on the list that I just can't slip out of my regular earnings. (especially since right now I do not have "regular earnings") You know, food, oil changes, new tires...woohoo. I know how to live it up! This was also a short week-President's Day means no school, and it is definately harder to get to the computer when Thing 1 and Thing 2 are around. Not to mention the phone-(why do I have to go fish it out of Thing 2's side of the room ("minefield")at least once a day?) It sure is nice that they are held captive most of the week. This week hasn't all been madness and mayhem. I went to the Business Development Center, and I finished a requirement for my grant on Tuesday. I moved forward with my business plan, and yesterday I finished all eleven of the rest of the new zodiac card designs (Capricorn was already done), and I COULDN'T BE MORE THRILLED!!! I can now go find a printer to produce them! I must admit, I am a little hesitant, because I know that my design is kind of demanding. I have some really bold cardstock color choices, and some of the techinical requirements may be difficult, I am willing to rearrange things as need be to make it work as close to my vision as possible. They are very colorful, and I like it that way! Because I am not very familiar with the technical demands of the priting process, I have it built up in my head to be a monster...I just have to go out and interview printers! Piece of cake. I was able to put in an hour in the ceramics studio this morning, and made a nice little pinch pot-Today was the first day that the kids got to work with clay. I am doing an example of each type of pot along with the kids. I think I am going to make three more just like the one I just did, and do a series of mandalas on the inside...I love my job! It's pretty sweet to volunteer and have a clay studio that I don't have to pay for. I feel like I could definately use that to my advanatage (you know, because I need a hobby...) Tomorrow I am going to learn how to program their new computer kiln firing system. Today-BUSINESS PLAN. Tonight I have volunteered to (wo)-man the phones for Planeed Parenthood. I would love to be able to help organizations like these out with money, but even with money, these places still need people who will get out there and get the word out. Schools are always looking for people to come in and help. It's like the bumper sticker says "Be in the world what you want to see in the world." I see-eeeee...London, I see France...I see teeeeeeeheeeeeeeee.
