WOW! The Pisces Lunar Eclipse really amped life as I know it.  I am on the tail end of a fabulous weekend that I am eager to share with all of you lovely blog-lo-dytes, but I have vowed to go to bed early and finally get a good nights sleep to recover from my wild and wacky week...it has been quite a ride.  I think that it is funny that the Pisces moon is one of the best dreaming moons that there is, but I hardly know anyone that got a regular night's sleep at the end of last week-perhaps because we were waking up to the reality that "life is but a dream..." OM.  See you in the morning.

The Crocodile Hunter-OM-I keep seeing his picture and everytime feel so much love in my heart for his enthusiasm and adventurous spirit-I can only hope to impart a fraction of that kind of zeal.   Odd to me that his big heart was pierced by venom-when he was able to share so much love with the world.   I can only say that I hope my passing, when my time comes, is quick and to the point-(unlike my blogs....lol) and I should be lucky to spend my life doing what I love as he did.
I am reminded of a dream that I had about ten years ago when I was working with a lot of new energies.  The short story is that I dreamt that my friend that I had been learning reiki with and I were catching and fileting stingrays in Mexico, and I was trying to figure out how to cook them.  I went to a store and everything was in spanish, but then I asked a question and it became english....
I have this fantastic dream book called "Watch Your Dreams" by Ann Ree Colton (seriously-dream bible...) and it said that stingrays represent astral entities that can cause you physical harm.  It also said that learning to cook something represented understanding how to deal with it's energy, and obviously that the language becoming clear to me was that it was getting easier to do so.
I have never forgotten the dream, and every time I think of stingrays I  do a little prayer of protection...(here's one now...ommmmm) that I may be strong enough to deal with the things that intend to do me and others harm.
Whenever someone famous dies in such a spectacular way, I know the message is for the masses...I hope we can all learn to protect our loving and kind hearts from the things that do them harm, and in the event of a mishap-we can at least die doing something we have great passion for...OM

Labor Day
Mood:  caffeinated
Now Playing: Workin' In A Coalmine-DEVO
Topic: Summer Sunset

Thinking of a bumper sticker-something about "the Labor Party-the folks who brought you the weekend..."  17 years ago, Labor Day was the 4th like it is today, and I went into LABOR with Thing ONE!!!  For those of you who have been reading along for a while, this should not surprise you one bit.  I didn't actually have him until Wednesday afternoon, but I still have to laugh.

Today the lump of orbiting rock known as Pluto comes out of retrograde.  It has been moving backward in the sky since March 29 and giving us ample opportunity since then to figure out what it is that we really want to change in our lives.  Now is the time to put into practice the things that we have learned about ourselves and what we want.  As things start to move forward again, over the next few weeks, a plan will emerge.  We have the sun in Virgo, which is the house of service and health, and during it's transit here we will also have 2 new moons, (one was on the 23-the first day of Virgo) a full moon eclipse this Thursay the 7th-and the second new moon is the Annular Solar Eclipse!  Venus moves into Virgo on Wednesday the 6th, and Mars moves into Libra on Friday the 8th....what a week!

Pluto is in Sagittarius-which is happy go lucky-and all about long distance travel and education.  Pluto in Sag brings deep hope, and profound understanding.  As it moves forward again this should be an uplifting time for everyone.  As you make decisions about your future, the question to ask yourself is "how does this affect the greater good?"  Are you doing things that raise your vibration?  GOOD!!  A high tide lifts all boats...

On Wednesday, Venus moves into Virgo (and Thing One turns 17!)  Venus in Virgo is all about caution in love, and being cautious about who or what you give your heart to.  This can be a time of reigning in your emotions, however, the Pisces full moon and accompanying eclipse the next day is ALL ABOUT emotional issues.  Use the power of this illumination, and it's dark side, to make a note of the things that are not serving your emotional needs, and make arrangements to do the things necessary to change this.  This position of Venus tends to promote scandal-things could get a bit dicey around the water cooler!   It is easy (and fun!) to get caught up in the gossip, but much better (and healthier) to be the voice of reason.

I'll be on later to talk about the Pisces full moon in more detail-until then, my little stargazers...behave yourselves!!!

Saturn Opposing Neptune
Mood:  celebratory
Now Playing: yes
Topic: 365

This is blog number 365-which means after a year and 8 months, I finally have a year's worth of blognificence.  Funny, it doesn't seem like I miss that many days, but it doesn't take much to set you back.  I guess I should remember that as it applies to my business!

After 36 years since the last one, with a big square at 18 years ago, Saturn-Neptune opposition is here today, and issues around our dreams take center stage.  This is Fantasy-vs-Reality energy.  Saturn-little old man-father time-earth energy-ruler of Capricorn: Neptune-dreamy-watery-emotional-god of the sea.-ruler of Pisces.

Let's think of the ways that Capricorn and Pisces combine-(this part is easy for me-Thing One and Two are half fish-half goat-I'm pretty sure each one got a different fish!)  Pisces-the sign of two fish pulling each other in opposite directions allows emotional undercurrents to give them direction, while Capricorn-who is a Seagoat, and capable of swimming in the depths early on, moves up onto land to climb the mountain in as direct fashion as they can (not always carefully-ask me how I know).  Pisces is dreamy and mystical, Capricorn is responsible and realistic.  Sometimes it is difficult for Pisces to understand that their dreams are not reality, sometimes it is difficult for Capricorn to understand that reality is created out of dreams.  When Earth meets Water, you can get mud, or you can get clay.  (Papa Thing and I were actually in the business of ceramics-lol)  If you throw mud you get a mess, if you throw clay, you get art...Channeling the energy of this opposition is powerful.  Do you have what it takes to master both elements?  Make your dreams become your reality...and make your reality inspire your dreams.  All things are possible.

One thing I read regarding this has to do with Dream vs Fantasy.  While chasing fantasies can lead to disillusion,  Dreams have the advantage of being able to come true, but you must take the steps necessary to make it so-tomorrow's Mercury conjuncting the sun gives you the go ahead to put the plan into motion!!!  Coupled with the first quarter Sagittarian gambler's moon-take a chance-what do you have to lose?                                                         OM.

Mars Square Pluto
Mood:  spacey
Now Playing: Schism-TOOL
Topic: Fire and Ice

I woke up this morning from a dream where this woman looked me straight in the (third?) eye and said calmly and cool-ly,  "don't postpone happiness."  This was the message that brought me out of my sleep, and into my day.  I must say that today was yet another beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest,  and I made the most of it by going out and picking blackberries, apples, and golden pears at Leetle Dog's gal pal's.  Another day in paradise, as dogs played, Fleesh gardened, music jammed, and I worked on another one of my purses in the sunshine.  AHHH-I love my job.

Today there were two planetary aspects that begin a big energy shift.  The first is that Jupiter is in Scorpio trine Uranus in Pisces.  Luck and Expansion in harmony with unexpected secrets.  Could be a pleasant surprise in store?  The second aspect is Mars-who used to rule Scorpio, is square (face off) Pluto-which rules Scorpio now-but is no longer a planet.  This is a tough aspect, but now that Pluto has been demoted, perhaps it is like a tree falling in a forest with no one to hear---does it really make a sound?  Oh-don't you point that thing at me-my little Scorpio pals...you know I love you!

This Thursday, in the wee hours of the am, there is a Saturn Neptune Opposition, the likes of which have not been seen since the year 1970.  The midpoint of this aspect was what was going on in March-November of 1989.  Where were you then?  In 1970, I personally was skipped a grade from Kindergarden to 1st due to advanced reading skills.  Later in life I found out that everything I needed to know, I was supposed to LEARN in Kindergarden-and having skipped it like I did, I had to go BACK!!!  Be kind to others, Share your toys, Eat cookies, Take a nap...all realized better late than never.  There is more than one reason that one of my nicknames is "Flashback".

In 1989, I was pregnant with Thing One, and around November, I was contacted by my bestest gal pal-Gina Scorpina-who I had lost touch with for about 5 years at that point.  Out of the blue, and into the Light...in the strangest of places...It was still another 4 years before we were able to meet again-and go to a set of Dead shows in Cleveland together, but I'd say it was a transformative moment to reconnect at that time.  In the strangest of places-if you look at it (W)right...(what does it mean!)

If this aspect is going to start a new cycle, I am excited to see what it brings about.  This is the start of a big power move, and I think I am ready to skip ahead a few levels, I just don't want to have to go back and relearn something I might miss on the way...guess I'll just try to keep my eyes open and my mouth shut (I know-good luck with that!)  and I suggest you do the same while you are figuring out the best way to make your next power move.   Best of luck to you all-The closer we all are to living our dreams, the higher the vibrations we bring into being here on our lovely planet Earth.-and the better off we all are.   OM.

Permaculture Party Weekend
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Speed Scrabble
Topic: Reiki-o-Rama

The next chapter in the Mandalafly BlogBible consists of a weekend choc-fulla randomness including guest appearances by Mr. and Mrs. Random themselves!  Friday night I went to a Permaculture Event at the beautiful Dharmalaya Eco-Center here in town.  There was a weekend full of events centered around sustainable living held in and around a beautiful new cob-built community building.  I went to give Reiki and it was truly a beautiful experience.  There were people from Oregon and Washinton who were all there to learn about eco building, edible landscaping, health, and well-being, and more.  Gives me hope.

Saturday I had my most successful day at Market, and then went to a party for our friend "RiverTom" who turns 50 on Wednesday.  It was in a most beautiful setting, the back yard wonderland of our friends Barb and Bill, and we had the most wonderful food, including some tuna with a buttermilk and cracker crumb coating that was one of the best I've ever tried.  Coming from Wisconsin, where the "Fish Fry" is a way of life...that's pretty darned good!

The party was organized by teachers and included games just like in school.  When we got there, a piece of paper was pinned to our backs and we had to ask questions of the other guests to figure out what it said.  Each one had a partner too, and once you knew yours, you had to find your partner.  I was standing next to Mr. Random, and asked him to help me with this task, and he looked at my tag and kind of laughed and we started.   "Am I male?"-"yes" "Am I famous"-Sort of  "Is it a Person"-Yes "Does it start with A-M"-yes...we got down to G-M and I picked every letter except K-whick was actually what  it started with...then when I finally said K, I couldn't come up with any K names EVEN THOUGH I WAS TALKING TO KEN-which just HAPPENED to be the SAME NAME AS ON MY BACK (coincidence?) as in Barbie and Ken-When I figured it out I felt like such a dolt!  What are the chances that I would ask the person who has that name to help me with it!!!  Talk about a RANDOM MOMENT-It doesn't get any better than this!!!    I think Ken is a code word for Kryptonite, and his prescence scrambled my usually KEEN powers of perception.  He said it was like I had anti-ESP.  Mrs. Random said it was because he must have been using his Cloaking Device.  (or is that Kloaking?)

Later on our friend Kurt (and I couldn't think of a K name!) showed up with a sinfully delicious fresh blackberry and peach pie with fresh whipped cream and almonds on top, and we played speed scrabble until the wee hours when it came down to a showdown between me and the birthday boy.  It was a close match, but in the end-I let him win...(okay actually it was fair and square).  I can tell you for sure now that those middle school kids have NO IDEA what goes on after hours with those crazy teachers!

Sunday was relatively quiet-with some more Reiki at Dharmalaya and then the movie Click at the $1.50 movies with Thing Two and his Girlio.  I expected less from the movie (Adam Sandler and David Hasslehoff?)  but was pleasantly surprised...of course I'd watch "Barney" if it had Christopher Walken in it.  He's just great.  It really was worth a couple hours of my precious time.

On the astrological front, tomorrow is a big day as Jupiter trines Uranus, and Mars squares Pluto.  This is a day for organizing your presentations, meeting new people, and presenting your plans to make your dreams a reality.  More on that in the morning.  TA-TA.

Scorpios Unite!!!
Mood:  incredulous
Topic: Pluto Shall Prevail!!!

I'm sure that you are all aware that it's official-according to science-Pluto-the planet of Birth, Death, and Regeneration-and ruler of Scorpio, the Snake-Scorpion-Eagle, has been "demoted" to Dwarf Planet status according to the new standards set by the Science community.  Yes, my little planetary pupils, the "planet" discovered in 1930 and originally known as "Planet X" is now an "Ex-Planet"!!!!  The funny thing about this to me is that this move is in line with it's nature of birth, death and regeneration-It was a planet, it is now a non-planet---I predict it will RISE AGAIN and become something BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER!!! (knowing a few Scorpios and how they work-we'd better hang on to our hats through that "transformation"!!!)

Goofy little Pluto-wobbly little orbit-sometimes the 9th planet, sometimes the 8th-switching places with Neptune-the planet of Deception every so often.  What is an astologer to do...shall we urge SCORPIOS to RISE UP AND RECLAIM YOUR BIRTHRIGHT?  Shall we shun science (like certain government agencies) and refuse to acknowledge this demotion, or shall we just do what we do best...and continue to recognize the POWER OF THE PLUTO-planet or "not".

In related birth/death/transformation news-the emergency birth control pill(s) called "Plan B" was FINALLY  approved for over the counter use for women (over 18) in this country after years of being fought over by people who think this will make people more promiscuous---I can tell you personally that the idea of being able to spend $25-$40 a pop-to prevent an unintended pregnancy does NOT make me want to run out and have unprotected sex any more than I did before-For all of the AbstinanceOnly folk who come across this, I have two words...PLANNED PARENTHOOD!  For those who TRULY want to stop abortions from having to be an option!

Alchemical Healing
Mood:  vegas lucky
Now Playing: Walk Like an Egyptian-The Bangles
Topic: You Bet Your Asp!

Yet another magical day-which began by having the healing hands of people who were involved in the Alchemical Healing retreat at Nicki Scully's working on me. Alchemical Healing is really amazing and works with the Egyptian Mysteries, and power animals to do it's stuff.  I have been aware of it for about 8 years, and have always been very interested in it.  I took the level one training about then, but have not been in a position to take another workshop since then. (Plenty of other learning going on, I can assure you!)

It was a very personal issue we were after, and I found out that whatever was causing it was embedded DEEP within my energy body and was affecting my physical (which is why I was there!)  Part of what came up was that I was really guarding this particular fear, and it was cutting into me pretty deeply.  Part of what happened a couple of weeks ago was tied to it, and I felt an immediate change when we started working on it.  I came home and slept for a couple of hours as though I hadn't done so in a while.  It was pretty amazing.  I have made a promise to myself that next year when she holds the retreat again, I will be a participant.  It's powerful stuff.

A really sweet moment happened at the end of the treatment, when I was talking to the women who worked on me, I showed them my cards, and one of them said "I bought one at New Frontiers for one of my closest friends!!"  Funny that the thing I have been working on the most lately has everything to do with getting support for my work, and here was someone who had already supported it!  I'll take that as a GOOD sign!

A second little miracle came this evening in the form of an email from down-under-a performer pal of Babboo's and his performing partner came to stay with us last year.  She and I hit it off like we were long lost sisters, staying up and giggling long after the boys had gone to bed.  I hadn't heard from her since shortly after then, but tonight she wrote me to say she had just bought a copy of Judith Cornell's Mandala book  that I had shown her and she said that  she wanted me to know that "I have played a role in the mandala of [her] life."  What a touching image!  I feel inspired.

MANDALA POWER IS GOOD JU-JU!!!  Doodle one today!

Holistic Hullabaloo
Mood:  special
Topic: Ho-hum

So, I've been doing all of this wonderful work with a Reiki group for a little over a month  now, and I am watching things rapidly growing in many areas of my life and the group's as well.  I really enjoy the Reiki shares and had a pretty amazing moment last week when some work was done on my shoulder that removed something that I almost considered permanent!

I am also a part of several groups on line that discuss these things, and of course are open to discussion by non-believers as well.  I was struck today by a particular skeptic who said that he had had a couple of Reiki sessions that "did not work" and he said that he would only believe that we did anything if he "took asprin for 3 days to thin his blood, cut himself open,  and one of us could stop the bleeding immediately, and heal the wound without leaving a trace of a scar or anything."  WOW.  He also mentioned that we should be able to heal his quadripalegic relative.

Now I can understand skepticism.  I encourage it.  If you were to believe everything, you'd bePresident someday.  He does believe in Western medicine (which, for the record I believe has it's place in the healing arts) even though THEY have not been able to perform the same miracles we have been challenged with... I was surprised he would offer himself as a sacrificial lamb just to prove his point-REALlY-cut yourself open?  I couldn't help but feel that this person was hurting on so many levels, and  striking out at us for not being able to fix it was a natural defense.  I see it more often than I'd like to, and I am always amazed that it is more important to tell others what is wrong, than to find something that is right for them.  He is spending time and energy on arguing, when he could focus on finding HIS truth, and what makes him HAPPY.  I can only hope there is something that can put him out of his misery.  That goes for the rest of the chronically unhappy folk as well.

I feel like I should use this as a touchstone for looking at how I divert my energies away from healing-who do I hold responsible for my healing-what do I expect from that source-and what can I do to make it better?       AHHHH...there's always something to do.    DO IT!!!
