When I was preparing to leave Normal, I was involved in getting a group of people together once every other week to practice Rieki together. There was a woman named Kris, who did portraits of your guardian angel. I traded her one of my dreamscape drawings, and she drew me a portrait of a high priestess with these two Seraphim angels looking up at her. She said that they were very protective and adoring. She said that they had rainbow colored wings. A couple of years later, I was told by someone else that I had never met before, the same thing. That they were on either side of me. He went so far as to say that I was here to help others with their karmic debts. I would like to do it by teaching them what kind of special thing they do to be here. They inspire my drawings. They tell me the stories in the mandalas that I create. It is a dreamworld. I have called them "the Two" for quite some time now. I can tell when they are trying to get my attention by the catch twenty-two they create, and the solution that tells a story. They are quantum physicists. They can appear in two places at once. They are the alpha and the omega. Beginning and end. The balance, the two snakes, the caudecious. That is, the medical staff. The kundalini. When both sides are balanced, they create a conduit that connects you from the earth, to the body, to the heavens. It renews itself and flows back around creating an energy Fountain. It is a Fountain of knowledge and I take it for granted. It is what it is. That is where mandalas come from. Every time I go there to create one, I get less and less enthused about working at "shakeyerpesomakers". But ALAS, the Landlord waits for no RENT!!! HI-HO, HI-HO...

I popped on to check on things, and realized that the entry I had earlier was number 100!!! It's a blogging milestone for me. Todays lesson comes to us from a pilot from Horizon airlines. While stationed at an airforce base, he was witness to an aircraft accident that makes you go hmmm....... It seems that while preparing a stunt for an airshow, some jet pilots miscalculated and ended up crashing in the airfield. This was tragic enough, but the even more ironic thing is that the plane happpened to fall in a place where there were no houses or spectators, however, a pilot who had given up his seat on the plane that day, just happened to be in a jeep in that very airfield, and was killed in the crash along with his crew anyway. Is there any way to escape FATE? Do you get to choose your destiny? Are we a conscious effort to play out all of the infinite possibilities? Will we try anything? and EVERYTHING? Is that our nature? Do we have to answer all of the questions, or is the question really the answer? What the hell keeps us going? WHY?

Hey!! Now that the cinco madness is behind me , I can get back down to business. I just accepted TWO mandala commissions for a couple in Portland who are moving to New Zealand in August. I will now have a piece of work across the ocean! (actually-two seperate mandalas framed together as one large piece) I will also be doing one for my bosses son, and finishing one for a friend in St. Louis! This is the way I like it! Even when I am not busy, I'M BUSY!

Wow-It's monday nite and I haven't been on this contraption since the wee hours of Friday morning. I needed a place to sit down and gather my thoughts. Seems like every moment I am thinking of how many directions I could go. I had so many thoughts that it didn't seem like I could do any of them justice. Friday, my sleep schedule was FUBAR. Saturday I went to market (to buy a fat pig?) and got into a nice spot right on the corner where my booth fit right in. The people who are usually there didn't show. I hope I can get that spot fairly regularly. Sunday was Mother's Day. I was the Champagne dispenser all day at the Malibu Mexican. It was slammed. Afterward,I could barely peel my head up off the couch to go to bed while it was still light out! Today I was kept running through the Cantina at a pretty good clip for most of the day. Again, I am planning to hit the hay early. (Homeagain, homeagain, jiggety-jig) The moon is in the sign of Gemini. Gemini is all about travel and communication. It makes for those nights where it almost feels as though you don't stop dreaming. Last night I was flying. Tonite I'll probably get stuck waitressing. Guess we'll see!

Made it through another Cinco party. It was the place to be and the revelry was pouring from the rafters. My mission was to be there until the dining room was taken care of. That was 3:30am. I got home and face planted into my pillow (which still has a dent!) I had to get kids up for school at 7:00 and I am ready for a nap b4 they get home at noon because, for whatever reason, it is "early release." No Rest for the Wicked. I'm taking a SIESTA!!!

Here we are Kids. The countdown is at zero. We have arrived. 05/05/05!!! If I wanted to see this happen again I'd have to live to 140. Last nite at La Leche De La Vaca, after being there all day rearranging the liquor room to make it more easily accessable, I broke the margarita tank!!! Yes kids, I was pouring nine gallons of sweet and sour into the tank, three gallons at a time out of these akward boxes. One of our servers asked me something and I turned and the box slipped into the tank, stopping and bending the blades. Before I could get it unplugged, the safety in the motor was snappped and the tank blades stopped turning!!! It's a relatively cheap fix, the reason the safety is there is so that it goes before the motor burns up. Also stops the blades from really hurting someone. I have a feeling it's more of a subconscious effort to sabotage the whole scene!!! Oh well... On a totally different note,I want to send out some positive thoughts for our friend Teri, who is in surgery today, ON HER BIRTHDAY. After all the years of having to be at Cuervonation every birthday, I'm sure she'd rather be doing what I am doing today. One more random thought b4 I go get dressed for the masquerade ball. This year is 05/05/05~NEXT YEAR IS 06/06/06!!! PARTY LIKE IT"S 1999!!!

I don't want to bore everyone with the puppy report every night. I cannot, however, NOT mention him on what is merely the second full day of being his human. Suffice to say, Tyrone is totally amusing. This morning his biscuits were on the counter, and he walked through the kitchen. Usually I give him one after making him "sit" once we go outside for the morning walk. Today he went in, looked at the treats, looked at me and SAT! He obviously expected a biscuit even though I hadn't issued any sort of command whatsoever. Roger said he tried the same thing with him this afternoon. Nice one. He's no dummy! I tossed him an ice cube tonite and he licked it, chased it, and played with it until it melted. I figured out you can give it to him as a reward instead of a biscuit!! He loves it. It's the interactive treat! On the business front, in my microbusiness class, I am progressing quite nicely on my business plan. Meanwhile preparations for CuervoMania are in full swing at the Leapin' Latina. There is a tent over the patio to keep the celebrants in and out as we see fit. There are ropes, lights, flags, keychains, shotglasses on shoestrings, three day passes and three day passer outers. There are t-shirts, bandanas and aprons,brought to you by cuervo, cointreau, corona, and anyone else who has decided to use this relatively uneventful Mexican date in history to promote shameles consumption in as many forms as possible in public (and pushing the limits of that!) GOD BLESS AMERICA-LIVIN' LA VIDA LOCA!

Well, the moon is in aquarius, which is the waterbearer, but it is an air sign. I think that I have already talked about how this really messes Aquarians up. I find that this position of the moon makes me spacier than any other one. I swear I can tell by the way that I feel when this is happenin. Today I was low energy, and unmotivated. Haha-the song that just came on opened with "My head is a box full of air, and that's the way I like it." I need to find out what it is! I DO like it when I feel like this and can just space out, and nap when I like. Unfortunately-my day job wasn't having any of it. It was good to come home and chill with my new pupster who was burned out from being trapsed all over town. It's time for bed for the lot of us. Maybe tomorrow will be more exciting. (only 2 more days to Cuervo de Mayo!) Are you ready to PAR-TAY?

 Well darlings-welcome the newest addition to the family-an 11 week old Aussie/Blue Heeler mix. He came with the name "Clancy" after a dog in a movie. My kids decided he is "Tyrone". (My first choice was Achilles (LOL). He is as sweet as sweet can be (b/c he hasn't chewed up any of my things yet) He was in foster care because the first owners weren't allowed to keep him. The volunteer who had him didn't want to let him go, but it is part of the deal. She has him potty trained, crate trained and he will sit, come and fetch on command!!! That's better than I've done with my kids in 15 years!!! I didn't expect to be so excited, but when he was tired of playing, he picked me to curl up next to. I am OWNED!!!
