Details DO make the difference. I've added quite a bit of signage to the booth, and I found the PERFECT little collapsable corner table at the StVdeP.I am using it to hold my trinkets for hairwraps. I've added more pics of my booth progress to my photo album!!! I'll take a pic of it at market tomorrow with all of my stuff in it. I am happy with the progress!!

Spent a special day in the sweet, sunny, summertime heat wave setting snaps for the Saturday Market booth as promised. I got all of the tabs fitted down to the last 8 and I found that I was missing 8 male sides of the units. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense since I bought an even number of males and females, and I had exactly enough female sides to do ALL of the tabs...hmmmmmmmmm, curiouser and curiouser. I guess I'll just have to make another run to the cloth store-awwwwwww shucky darns. I just hope I can resist the allure of all of the other projects I am taunted with while I am there. Wish Me Luck!!!

Just got back from Los Burritos de Las Noches. Wednesday is "Kids Eat Free*" night. What a thrill. I think it's my punishment for being such a primadonna about my schedule. I have to say that they have been very accomodating. How many people can tell their boss that they are developing their own business (aka-don't give a hoot about the day job!) and they are just using you until the fortune starts rolling in. Then tell the honchos that they can't work Fridays or Saturdays, Tuesday nites, Thursdays, Sunday nite, or Monday nite...and that they are getting classes at random and need to come in late, and leave early whenever they can. Crown me THE PRINCESS. This evening, one of my muses (you know who you are) had a (BUD) light go off and flash the idea that I be the ghost writer for his book about The Rise and Fall of The Cuervo Cafe. In the beginning of time, it had quite a reputation for being THE place to be for Happy Hour in Eugene. It boasted free snacks, wall to wall singles, hot cocktail servers, and a VERY SPECIAL plaque for the folks who were "BRAVE" enough to choke down an alcohol laden drowned maggot. There was action in all the right places, and it was the spot to scratch all of your itches. People still come in and get all misty about how it was wall to wall people. That the servers were scantily clad. That the food was free, and the margaritas were huge. That the bartenders drank as much as the patrons, and that the party didn't stop once the doors were closed. I can only imagine that these are NOT the stories they'll be telling their grandchildren!!!

I am working on Alex and Tobi's mandala for about 10 days or so, I think. He is a Gemini, born on June 7. (This happens to be my sister Kim's daughter Winnie's birthday too.) She is a Sagittarius-Dec. 17. He has Sagittarius rising. She has Gemini moon. The other day, May 23 was my sister Kim's birthday (also my parent's wedding anniversary!) The sun is in Gemini and the Full moon fell on Kim's birthday in the sign of Sagittarius. I love it that I have been creating their mandala under this kind of MOJO. With this kind of play between the sun and the moon in both of the signs that love to travel (Gemini=Short Trips/Sag=Long Journeys) it's no wonder they are in the midst of a move to New Zealand!!!

Saturday Market Update

Some good news on the Saturday Market front. It is possible that the 8x8 space that I have been in for the last three weekends in a row, may be a booth that can be reserved, and there is a possibility that I will have my corner spot for the rest of the summer! I really like it for a number of reasons. My logo is visible from a bunch of angles, and it is right on a corner of the block. I can't tell you how much easier it is than having to wait to be assigned a random space. Wish me luck. I painted a new sign for the booth last night, and worked on Tobi and Alex's piece tonight. I have business plan class tomorrow night and I haven't done any work on my business plan since class two weeks ago. OUCH! There is just so much to do! I did go to peer group, and the open house they had for us. It was a treat. Overall, I think things are progressing quite nicely. PEACE

Th-ub-e ub-oth-ub-er d-ub-ay, ub-I w-ub-as t-ub-alk-ub-ing ub-ab-ub-out ub-ub-ubbi dub-bu-ubbi. (for the ubunubitiubatubed [uninitiated} that is, "the other day I was talking about ubbi-dubbi.") Ubbi-Dubbi is a "language" from the show ZOOM on PBS. The reason I bring it up is because I think I will be making it the official language of the Garden of Fountain. To speak it, you just add "ub" before the vowel sounds!! Ub-it's ub-eas-uby!! (It's Easy!) Now I suppose you want to know WHY? it is that it should be the official language of the Garden of Fountain? OKAY...Since you are BEGGING and PLEADING soooo... Since we got The Rodeo Tornado Superior Cow Dog Tyrone, we have noticed a phenomenon in the garden. I'm not sure what to make of it, but it's hard not to notice. Tyrone has a stub-tail. His best friend Ruby, has a stub tail. Ruby's friend came over, her name is Trinity (dog#3 is Trinity-hee hee!) She has a stub-tail. Then I saw a squirrel back where the puppies have their play-dates, and GUESS WHAT! A mere STUB of a Tail. Well-as if that weren't enough...we were out there again Friday, and Babboo sees this fledgeling Stellar Jay in the grass. He picks it up-it hasn't grown enough adult feathers to fly. Babboo holds it up-and I see that it has ONLY A STUB OF A (very pretty) blue jay tail. Therefore-the Garden of Fountain is now AKA The Garden of STUBBER NUBBER.

Still getting shut down every-so often. Bear with me. It's my sister Kim's Birthday. Yesterday was my nephew Declan's. Kim is the "MIDDLE CHILD". I am the oldest, Robyn is the "BABY" Our birthdays are arranged in a cool pattern. I was born on New Years Eve, Kim was born on my parent's wedding anniversary, and Robyn was born in the middle of the year. Robyn's birthday is my 1/2 birthday, and vice versa. We were born on the day most coupons and special offers expire ( 6/30 and 12/31 )!!! I like to say "Robyn is my evil twin, I am hers, and Kim is her own evil twin (gemini!)." It's funny to see the patterns in families. My ex's family's birthdays are the 11th,12th,13th,14th and 15th (of different months) WHAT' UP WIT DAT?! P.S. Jsa Jsa Gabore-Butt is the name that we "affectionately" called middle sister Kim. It evolved from Jai, who is Tarzan's young jungle friend. We saw some black and white movie and decided Kim looked like him. No wonder so many people can't get over the damage done to them by their siblings. Fortunately, we're even. She's the reason I started dating my ex!!! (I'm NOT bitter!)
