WoW!!! Another busy day at the Burning Burrito. I'm not gonna complain since I will have a short paycheck from taking time off. Tips are a liferaft.
Another thing that realized while I was missing all the gossip was that I don't really have time for my job but I don't have the money for my life! It's a cruel conundrum. I know that I am not the only one, but since I am learning how I create my own reality I am trying to figure the part about financial independence REALLY soon!!
Anyway, today was all about getting my minions to do their part. My younguns are very social animals. Unfortunately it looks to be at the expense of their job-homework!!! Today their cyber/electro/phone/friendsoverallthetime world came to a screeching halt. (tis the progress report season!) They got to spend their evening making up assignments and helping me around the house. They took it really well. I even heard the big one tell the little one "It's our own fault!" That makes me believe that they actually CAN learn. The house has a different vibe when all of the electronics aren't on at the same time. I could definately get used to this quick!!!

Yow!!! The first day back at the Carnival de Carnitas was a busy one. The unseasonable weather has the patio opened and I ran my little feet off. That's what I get for saying that work was going to be easier than my vacation.
The other day after I wrote about hoping that the computer cookies I erased weren't Girl Scout Cookies,(Friday) my son's friend showed up on my doorstep with the cookies I had ordered from her!!! (mmmmmmmmmmm...thin mints and trefoils!! I love the classics) Later that same evening I was IMing my sister in Chicago (while enjoying my treats) and she said that she was having a rare quiet moment with her husband out of town and the kids in bed. Guess what she was treating herself with! Long Live the Girl Scouts!!
There's way more to talk about but I've got to get some shuteye. Buenos Noches.

PS>I saw on the news that the pope was back at the Vatican. There's hope for the Pope!!!

OH MY-IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK!!! Kids, it's been quite intense around this place the last couple of days as a combination of events took over my computer and rendered it pretty close to useless, and me close to fried, as I tried one support center after another-each time finding myself with more questions than I had going in.
After about an hour to a humorless, but knowledgable woman in India, and a chat link to Evan at comcast about a totally seperate issue, I have regained accessability and hopefully some insight. I have a lot to say but I will get to that after I get some much needed rest.
Tomorrow is my triumphant return to the Churro de Chupacabra for the Champagne Brunch. I thought I would be well rested after my brief, but busy "holiday", however I realized that work is where I go to get a break!!! Hope my cork popping callous hasn't completely softened up!!

Kids-this technology thing is driving me batty(er). Finally figured out the Norton update thing. Now the server on tripod is telling me that they have been updating their stuff but it is causing the dilemma that I am experiencing. I can't open my site to do editing!! I deleted my cookies but to no avail. (Hope they weren't Girl Scout Cookies!!!) Thankfully for you faithful followers, I can still get into my blog to let you know that sometimes even the perfect life has some glitches!!! I'm sure that I will figure this out and be able to move on. Today is not the day. Peace OUT!!

I apologize for the interruption in service to my dear readers. I got on late last nite to write and the site builder wasn't loading properly. I decided to defragment and do some disc cleanup, etc... and by the time I got it done it was well past my bedtime. I had some wierd-ocity with it tonite too-I'm thinking it was this site that I let my kid download yesterday (after a good month of resisting-BECAUSE MY INTUITION TOLD ME IT WOULD BE SHADY!!!) Anyway-I found my way around the glitch tonite and I'm uninstalling the beast as soon as I can figure out what it is. ARGH!!!
Again I am finding myself up way later than I should be considering I have a big project to do tomorrow, I will be fitting my booth with canvas and getting closer to my D-DAY-Saturday April 2-the first day of Saturday Market. I got on to write this two hours ago but my mom was on-line and caught me with the IM.
It should have been way past her bedtime since she lives in Wisconsin, however you can pretty much tell what phase the moon is in by her sleep pattern! (which is probably a large part of the reason that I am so convinced of it's power!) I kid you not-When the moon is new and when it is full she needs very little sleep!!! This has gone on as long as I remember and it is part of her bi-polar cycle as well. There really is a reason they call them Looney (luna-lunar-MOON!) This is a new moon night-in Pisces which is the sign of the dreamer-which to me says-go to sleep and capitalize on that energy!!! If all goes as planned I'll have one of my 4th dimension travels to talk about tomorrow-wish me luck!

Well folks-It seems that my vacation is being extended a day longer than I expected due to a schedule change. HOORAY!!! I can't tell you how much I am enjoying my personal freedom!
This week I have really got a lot done. I got back in touch with some things that I had put on the back burner, and realized a few things that I need to bring back into focus. A few recurring themes were:
1. The Sun-the tarot card about personal freedom, making your work into play, you inner fire, your third chakra, and the divine child. It is the card about tapping the unlimited resevoir of creativity.
2. Reiki Healing-I have been a Reiki "Master" for 8 years. That means that I have completed the training and am qualified to teach it. For some reason this week I have been asked about it by a number of people in the most random of situations. People who aren't even really aware that I practice it.
3. The Throat Chakra-and personal truth. We'll delve into that another time.
4. Do what you love, the money will follow! That pretty much says it all.
I have one more day of studio time-then I work for one day and I get two days off again!!! This has been such a great time for me. I even got a visit from good old Lucky Seven yesterday (I guess that answers the question about regenerating the legs!) Even the weather has been on my side and the booth get's it's third (and FINAL?!) coat of paint tomorrow! I could really get used to this lifestyle!

Hi Kids! Did we all make it through the time warp okay? The last couple of days just blended together into one very long (but productive!) one. That hard working Capricorn moon has moved into Aquarius and pretty much we're going to be like Napoleon Dynamite and "do whatever we feel like doing, gosh!!"
So far today my major accomplishment has been to completely immerse myself in lala land and plot my next major push. I'm still on hiatus from "As The Taco Turns" for another couple of days. I am wrapping up some loose ends for the market booth. It's primed and getting paint tomorrow. The canvas sides are cut out and I will be sewing them at the end of the week!
Spring is really in full bloom here in the upper left hand corner of the map. It is time for the seeds of the year to be planted. The Vernal Equinox is on March 20-which is also Palm Sunday this year! What a Holy Day that will be! Has anyone heard whether the pope has got his voice back yet? This is the day where we hit the ground running. This year is going to raise the awareness of many who have,up until now have been skeptical. We have the gift of free will. It is one that we are only beginning to understand the full power of. There will be plenty of opportunity to fine tune ours to benefit the greater good. Have you been practicing?

Did I mention that I had work to do? I have been remarkably ON TASK this second day of my "holiday".
Yes folks I have been putting the cosmic purple energy to work transforming raw materials into finished Dragonfly Mandala Studio products. I got the canvas to fit for my booth. I got the rest of the materials for the princess chair, I got quotes for card printing costs. I have enough project material to fill up the rest of the month with full days just like the last two. I don't have that luxury, so I will so what I can to make the most of the next four days as well.
The moon is in Capricorn now. Capricorn is the taskmaster of the zodiac. It is ruled by Saturn, who is father time. It is waning (the back side of the moon cycle) which means finish up projects already begun. The next new moon is on the tenth. That will be a good time to launch new endeavours. I don't think I will have any trouble finding things to do until then. The bonus to all of this work is that once the booth is decorated to my liking, I will not have to make a new one for quite some time!

Today I took the first of 6 days off from the Chiquita Cantina. The first phone call that I got was from a frustrated co-worker trying to cover a shift that I am one of the most likely candidates to cover. I hate that I feel a guilty little twang when I think about how I didn't even respond.
I realize that my art doesn't seem to take any time or extra special preparation. I have a whole month before Saturday Market. It almost seemed a test to get that phone call. Am I not allowed to have some time for myself?
I always say that when I am rich and famous I will look back on all of this and laugh.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!There's a point in the process where you realize that you are not doing anyone any favors by trying to please everyone. I've got work to do!

Crowning Glory

I guess this needs to be a continuation of the yesterday entry. I didn't really cover the whole enchilada. (pardon the pun-though there is no excuse)
So there is all this purple. I've got the purple metallic painted chair, and the friends with the purple bedrooms and the fountains-and the Fountain of my own...and I am reminded of the teaching where you have seven major energy centers. They start at the base of the spine and go up to the crown of the head. They are the colors of the rainbow, and notes of a scale. When the right side and the heart side (the left)are aligned it is said that it creates a chakra fountain that continually renews itself (The Fountain of Youth)
How many people actually achieve that type of Nirvana in this lifetime is only limited by the amount of people that believe that it is possible to do so.
In my experience a Wright-and-a Hart-led me to a Fountain! How I am going to make that matter to anyone but just me remains to be seen. I'll keep you posted.
