Feels like I could spend every day just working on Mandalas. I am really surprised at the amount of energy that I put into this work and the amount of energy it gives back to me to keep going forward. I find working on these almost tireless. The things that wear me out are the things that stop me from creating things for my Studio.(you know what they are!) Today is the eve of the Full Moon in Libra. Since the sun is in Aries, the Thirteen Moon Calender calls it the Moon of Budding Trees. We return to a balance of body. We develop and enrich the seeds that were planted at the Earth Renewal Moon, and we start to think about the growing season ahead of us. As for me, I know that I have been germinating my Saturday Market seeds for quite some time. While I still have plenty of work cut out for me, I also have the satisfaction of knowing that this is what I do, and no matter what, I am moving forward. There are a couple of new fotos added to my album. It makes me feel like I am actually getting things done...Thanks for your support!!!

I was scheduled this week at the Toasty Tostada for tomorrow night when I have my last Feasability class. I have been working more than I want to for quite some time and I said something about it, and guess what-It got covered. I really appreciate that I work with people that allow me to pursue my creative career, (which is probably the biggest reason that I stick it out!) Even if I don't always feel like doling out the dinner and drinks. (I end up doing that for my boys at home anyway!) I have been asking myself a lot of questions trying to figure out what I want to accomplish. Is World Peace such a foreign concept? Can the blissful inherit the earth? If you had a choice would this be your reality? Have you ever heard someone else's thought? Does the feel of my touch give you fright? If you could, would you? What was the last dream you can remember? What is your Quest? Why am I still Rambling?... Talk at ya later!!! Buh-bye.

It's actually kind of early for me to be writing. Ordinarily at this point in the day I have taken two kids to school, taken a shower and got ready to go to the Enchilada Emporium. It's Spring Break. I am waiting for my kids to come home from their dad's. I have to work tonight, and I am trying not to get the illness people have been passing around all season. I went to bed with the beginnings of a sore throat, I woke up feeling ok, but I have been making deals with my subconscious. Lot's of ginger, green tea, water and rest, and it won't make me ill. All physical illness is a form of mental illness. It's just a way of my body telling me to SLOW DOWN !! I got far enough on the sides of my booth that I could take it out of my living room and just work on sewing the tabs. I truly appreciate the space! The planet Venus is in the house of Aries. Venus rules Taurus and Libra. The full moon is going to be in Libra on Friday the 25th. These aspects highlight beauty, and art. Libra is the sign of partnerships and these areas will be highlighted by the light of Luna. This makes us far more interested in going directly for what we want. It's 11 days until Saturday Market. I still have a lot of sewing to do on my booth and I am pretty wiped out. I made a little more progress, getting the outline of the logo painted on the side of the booth. The color will be the easy part. I already have it mapped out in my head. I had a meeting with my advisor on Project Grow and I got a printout of the classes and workshops that I have participated in so far. I also got a first quarter statement which has me as a "start-up business" (phase one-idea/phase 2 is start up.)and in a couple of weeks when Saturday Market opens, I will officially become an EXISTING business (phase 3!). I guess it doesn't matter that with what I am earning from it right now I would be EXISTING on RAMEN NOODLES!!! (Fortunately I get fed for free at the Tortilla-Mart!-The catch is I have to eat and run). I hope the Rich and Famous step isn't that far away! The topic for the next blog entry is how many people need to be reading your blog for you to qualify for cultural icon status. Think about your answer carefully, there is a quiz.

Monday, Monday...can't trust that day. Kids, I am getting further and further from wanting to spend my energy making sure the world gets their lunch in a timely manner. Sit down, wait for your food, enjoy it when it gets there and quit whining because it takes more than your feeble attention span!!! People have forgotten how to just enjoy the moment. I had a woman today who wouldn't get off her cell phone to acknowledge me in any way. I ignored her too. This is not the nature of the business. This time of year I get a mad case of the "Walkin Blues". I found an outlet for this when I could plan a sweet spring tour (GratefulDead) and rendezvous with my "family" in places like Cleveland and Atlanta (Hotlanta!!!) I am looking forward to Saturday Market to connect with the people who value creativity above all else. It was about this time in 1992 when I decided to quit a career as a restaurant manager and operate a pottery studio. It was about this time in 1993 when we really took the show on the road. It was about this time in 1994 when I decided it was time to change direction and leave a life that was not respecting me, and that same year when I was introduced to the stuff that dreams are made of. It was this time of year when I packed up my belongings and headed Northwest of Normal. I was going to leave on St. Patty's Day for luck, but I ended up (due to circumstances beyond my control!) leaving on March 21 (3-21-liftoff!) I still have the shamrock that I bought 2 for 1 the day after the holiday. I left one with my room-mate at the time. I'm not sure what happened to either of them.

This is the part of my odyssey where I lighten up on myself a smidge, and after a medium busy day schlepping cheap champagne to the masses at The Caliente Corral, I decide that I need to eat sushi and go straight to bed!! I am well fed and wiped out. If I get some sleep now I will have TWICE as much energy tomorrow, right? I still have quite a few tabs to finish on the booth-but they will still be there tomorrow as well. I have to mark today as special since it is both Palm Sunday AND the Vernal Equinox. It ushers in the sign of Aries and the first day of spring. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and is the Ram. Aries is a fire sign and is ruled by the head. They are thinkers and doers. They blaze the trail.

Here is where I learn something new today! I got in and created a photo album so that I could put pictures on my blog. This is my first test of this new skill. Now I have to take some more pictures!! I am posting the photo of the logo I am painting on my booth...so far. Today I put my booth up in the living room (b/c we are finally getting some much needed rain around here!) and have hung the sides. I have all of the tabs pinned into place and am in the process of sewing them on, one by one. I had to stop to go get some more thread, (THIS IS QUITE THE PROJECT!!) but after I grab a quick bite to eat I'am going to be sewing until I fall into bed!!! Double click on the picture to see the full effect of this new toy!!! I couldn't be more thrilled!!!

Holy Frijoles,Batman! I accomplished a quantum leap in my effort to be ready for the opening day of Saturday Market! I truly applied myself. After a morning where the entire household almost overslept for school (nick o' time) I had my gal pal, Fleesh, (you know who you are...) over and she, and my Fuggling Jool, went to our fave face filling station "the Laughing Planet" (plug, plug...)and had a maximus chow down. I'm not sure how I actually put down the entire entree, being that it was rib stickin good, but there were no leftovers. We came home and I started to hem the canvas for the sides of the booth. I thought that the best I would do was to pin the sides, but I got on a roll and both sides are hemmed. I have some tabs to hang them from, across the top, and I stenciled the design for the logo on one side!!! The next step is to hang them from the booth posts, and hem the bottoms, and custom fit the tabs (then add velcro, and detail it...yikes-the list never ends but!!) I have complete and total faith in my ability to finish all but the fine tuning details by tomorrow nite!!! (that's my challenge) WISH ME GOOD LUCK!!! I'm goin for it!

St. Patrick's Day

We all pretty much know that St. Patrick is the patron Saint of Ireland for driving the snakes out of the land. Much like the Pied Piper drove the rats out of England. In many cultures there is a hero who cleansed the land of pestilence. The snake is a very powerful symbol. It represents rebirth and at this time of year, the spring, it is appropriate to the cycle. When the snake sheds it's skin, it is the same creature, but refreshed. The snake reminds us to shed that which is no longer useful and go out in the world with renewed energy. (Spring cleaning!) One of my favorite meditations involves snakes. The kundalini energy that runs through the body is represented by the snake. In the meditation you picture two snakes. They crawl in through the soles of your feet, wind their way up crossing back and forth over each of your chakras, and look out your "third eye" or brow chakra. You picture wings growing from your shoulders and you become the caudecious-(the medical staff) and allow yourself to be an instrument of healing. I'm not sure if St. Patrick felt the same way about snakes or not. I do know that I have not even touched the tip of the iceburg on this subject. I guess we'll have to get to that later. Go have yourself a green beer and some corned beef and cabbage and I'll get back to you.
